why does the due date calculator say i am a month farther along than i am?

Question

my due date is feb 20 but the due date calculators say jan 20.. my last MP was apr.15 2006.

my doc gave me the due date i have had 5 ultrasounds because of my age and all of them were around feb 20..but i know my last period was apr 15th.

It's 40 weeks from the first date of your last period. Where did you get Feb 20th from?

* Maybe you didn't get pregnant until way after your LMP then. If the baby is measuring younger than that, then you must have got pregnant later.

Pregnancy starts at the first day of your last period so REALLY the babys gestational (real ) age is two weeks behind what week you are in. Ie. I am considered 9 weeks pregnant but the baby is only 7 weeks old. They do this because no one really knows the date of conception. Just because you had sex doesnt meet you conceived that date, as it take 3-12 hours for the sperm and the egg to actually meet.

last year i got pregnant in the very beginning of june and my due date was feb 28 so your due date should be jan if you got pregnant sometime between your lmp and 14 days after that which would be beginning of may that would make sense

I JUST LOOKED UP YOUR DUE DATE IT SAID JAN 20. YOU ARE NOT DOING IT RIGHT OR SOMETHING. 40 WEEKS FROM APRIL 15 IS JAN 15. COUNT IT.

Ultrasound is more accurate than LMP, go with the ultrasound date. You may have just ovulated late.

i had this happen with my son. go with what the doctor says.i skipped a period and then got pregnant this may be what happened to you ask your ob to be sure
