Pregnancy & Parenting - 11 September 2006

Ive been really enoyed that i havent been able to prove that im pregnant or not i have signs but no pregnancy test to prove it yet.yah i know i should see my doctor but there always booked for a couple weeks and dont want to wast the doctors or my time going to find out that im not.now that i got that out.ive had a little nausea, head aches, lower back pain, tender boobs, im waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bath room , im sensitive to smell, and i eat alot, i mean im a hundred and nine lbs, and eat about 5-6 times a day and still hungry.i also have been gaining atleast a lb or 2 each week.i dont get why it wont show up on the pregnancy ive been taking them every couple days for the last 2 week,i did have spotting for acouple days that was brown and thats it. what can be causing this its very furstrating that i cant know forsure even my fiance' wants to know if i am or not so we can prepare, can any1 help explain this to me why its not showing it with stories or advice

With our 2 girls one 10 and the other 18 months. She has always been very social and have a lot of friends and now she has lost them cause she has no time for them. I want her to be happy. what should i do? any nice woman out there with kids want to be friends with my wife? she is a really fun and interesting and good person.

I have heard of certain women (Some of them teens!) who lactates even though they are not pregnant or nursing. Is this normal or is it some symptom of disease?

We have been married for over a year. I am 20 years old and my husband is 24. We have been together for over 5 years and are absolutely in love with each other! I will be graduating from college in December and we just feel like it is time for our next stage in life. However, my parents and family do not think that we should have kids yet. His family is totally for it. I want to know we are ready and I want my family not only to support us, but to be happy and excited for us.

I know there are some really risky pregnancies and women are left with no choice. But under proper care and healthy pregnancies why are women opting for c-sections? Why are doctors encouraging this? c-sections are major surgeries and should only be used as a last resort. People say it's not a big deal but what about the ones who are permanently damaged by the experience. Childbirth is painful, it's no big surprise. But why are women subjecting themselves and their babies to drugs during childbirth. The risk are many and I cannot understand this thinking. I had 2 children both around 10 pounds, no drugs, at home with a midwife. I cannot tell you my experience was easy. It was not. But we were safe, in excellent hands, and we had the people we most cared about around us. Women have been giving birth at home with midwives for centuries of years. If it was deamed medically unsafe then why aren't we all dead?

cuz i mean i had sex with my man and i seriously think im pregnant this time...its crazy...my stomache is bigger...not drastically but it is and i swear im usin the bathroom like every two minutes and it feels like somethins pushin on my bladder too...
but then again im on my period...and i dont think that possible but i could be wrong...
i took a test and it said no...
do you think i should just go to the doctor?

I have a 2 and a half year old child that i understand is going through his terrible two stage. but he is always hurting himself really bad for example when he throws fits he slams his face into the floor and he gives himself a fat lip and a bloody nose and my husband and I can't control him at all. I have talked to a doctor about putting him on ridiline (i know i spelled it wrong) but she said his behavior is caused by his age (and i even brought him into her after he had a fit and and was bleeding and had a fat lip!) which i understand but if he is going to keep hurting him self all the time i want him put on something that will calm him down I dont want him to keep hurting himself any suggestions??

My fiance and I are trying to conceieve. My "most fertile" days were between the 6th and today, the 11th. We were intimate all through the week in order to get pregnant. Last night I noticed very light cramps, with no pain at all, below the belly button to the left. Today I woke up and took my son to the babysitters to go to work and got very nauseated and dizzy. Is it possible to have these symptoms so soon, or is it maybe all in my head? I'm keeping an open mind so I don't let myself down if I'm not pregnant, and with my first son it wasn't planned so I wasn't exactly looking for these signs so early on. Can anyone help?

I am really worried I am pregnant the condom split on the 19 aug!My period is not due untill around the 14th but my boobs are so sore and have ballooned to the size of watermelons!they are so uncomfortable and have blue veins which i never usually have! i have never had this before a period before and I was just wondering what other ladies thought,I did 2 tests today and both were negative could these be false readings?I dont really have anyother symptoms except these whoppers do you think i have done the test 2 early if my period is not due to around the 14th?what are the chances of neg tests being positive?Anyone who can give advice would be greatly apprieciated

My baby is going on two months now and she only sleeps for like a hour during the day. I thought babies were supposed to sleep more then that. Usually when she falls asleep she falls asleep for about 15 minutes at a time and wakes up. Is there any suggestions for what I can do to help her be able to sleep? She acts tired she just refuses to sleep, but she usually sleeps normal at night.

Ive seen quite a few answers of the uneducated that when semen hits the air its not active anymore. Haven't any of you heard of sperm banks? Where do you think the men ejaculate? Yup in a cup where the semen hits the air and amazingly it lives. Why do people think that when semen hits air it dies?

A lady in london went to have an abortion with twins one of the fetuses was aborted the other was not. The pregnancy was to far along when she found out she was still pregnant so she kept the child but is sueing the clinic because her daughter was not aborted. This is a true story no joke. She says she loves her child and hopes she will understand why she did it.

Is this the definition of hypocracy or what?

i am 24 yrs old girl.i was unwanted child of my parents.my parents physically,mentally,and sexually abused me.i was raped at age 7 by my baby-sitter. i was raped by my bf and his frd in a car.but because of god i am still alive and doing my M.B.A studies. i got a chance to participate in international student exchange programme. and thats why i am in canada now. i met a net frd from usa who is getting married in december in india. we had sex and i feel i am pregnant. we used condom but it tore. my period is on 12 september. but i am not having PMSsyndromes which i used to get earlier, i feel i am pregnant, and if i am then i have to leave the programme and when i'll go back to india my parents will kill me. i dont know what to do, as i cant use the health card as the exchange programme will know about it and send me to india early. so i cant visit the doctor, but i cant delay check up too as later it might be dangerous to get abortion done. i dont have enough money too. please advice.

this is my second child and I am currently 27 weeks. I am positive that these are only Braxton Hicks contractions and have already consulted my doctor. I started feeling them over two weeks ago and feel them at least once or twice a day. I don't remember feeling them so much with my first child.
Anyone else experienced feeling them so often so early?
I have been under an extreme amount of stress for the past month and a half and wonder if that relates at all.

Our son is now 3 months and 1 week old now. I stopped breastfeeding when he was about 3 weeks old because he wasn't gaining weight properly, also because I was so stressed. I still have milk in my breast, they don't hurt or anything but I was feeling for lumps last week and massaging and they started to leak a bit. I self expressed to see if it was milk and it was. Is this normal? I stopped taking my prenatals when I stopped nursing. My breast are full of milk and sagging, (Sorry if TMI) I am still 2 sizes larger than before pregnancy but they are sagging pretty low due to the contents still within them. Will this go away eventually? I have our son is on isomil now because they think he couldn't digest the reg. similac stuff, I think it was just a huge change from my breast milk and that's what the problem was. I was also told that no matter what formula you use some babies have a hard time and you can use karo to help them poop. Do you think I should try to nurse again?

i dont really see how i can be pregnant. i got my heavy period for 6 days on time and i didnt even have sex im still a virgin! i messed around with some guy (FULLY CLOTHED), i didnt see his hands down his pants then fingering me! he said he didnt have c.um on his hands but i keep thinking he did? my vagina wasnt all wet or covered with white stuff? do you think it would have been if he fingered me with c.um on his hands. please someone calm me down this is going to drive me to suicide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, for the first time, I usually have very normal periods, they start on time, never late, really heavy the first 3 days with alot of cramping lasting 5 to 6 days all together. This month I started a day late only had my period mildly heavy for one day a little cramping followed with a day of very very light flow and today (the 3rd day) I took a first response and it was negative. I dont get it because I have alot of the signs, weird period, and no positive. My husband thinks that I am. Do you think it is possible I could be pregnant? Should I wait to take another pregnancy test in like a week? Please help I need some insight!
