I would like to find a forum or something a little more informative, of what can I expect from a sterilization procedure, in order to decide whether or not I will go ahead with it. All help appreciated!

I was considering it, and I got my information from my doctor. She not only told me her personal thoughts about the proceedure, but also had some phamplets with more info for me to read. After I considered everything, I opted not to have it done. I don't like having to take birth control all the time, as it has side effects on me, but I don't want any children, so that is why I wanted it done. Once the sponge came back on the market, it solved my issues.

I had mine done when I was 21...my body does not do well in pregnancy. It is a costly procedure to have reversed. But to put it bluntly its great for your sex life. Not having to worry about getting pregnant. So there is a positive for you

I had mine done about 10 years ago with no problems. The only side effects I had were the nauseousness from the anesthesia and the soreness from the surgery. Those went away & now I love not having to worry about getting pregnant.

It is quick, easy and virtually pain free. It is done laparoscopically , you don't even need one single suture! I had it done eight years ago, and it was great. The only side effect is that you NEVER have to worry about pregnancy again!!!

I recently went ahead with this operation and I didn't have any side affects. I just talked to my doctor and got literature from her to take home and read up on it.
