My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, for the first time, I usually have very normal periods, they start on time, never late, really heavy the first 3 days with alot of cramping lasting 5 to 6 days all together. This month I started a day late only had my period mildly heavy for one day a little cramping followed with a day of very very light flow and today (the 3rd day) I took a first response and it was negative. I dont get it because I have alot of the signs, weird period, and no positive. My husband thinks that I am. Do you think it is possible I could be pregnant? Should I wait to take another pregnancy test in like a week? Please help I need some insight!

Yes it is possible, With all 3 of my kids I had a strange period like you are describing. I would wait until your next cycle is due then take another test if it is late. but you could take another one 5 days before you expect your cycle to begin. But in the mean time it wouldn't hurt to treat your body as if it is pregnant. Start taking prenatal vitamins and avoid alcohol, drugs and caffeine. If you have another abnormal period then I would consult your Dr you could have something else going on. Good luck and Best wishes.

this happened to me i did the FR test on july 17th and it was - (the line was veryfaint so i didnt believe it was really a line but a shadow of where the line would be) anyway i left for vacation and while i was away i got my period ( i knew it was coming) but it was really weird light and spotty then heavier for 1 day then light again.when i got home a week later i started feeling really sick so i did another test and it was + turns out i was pregnant the whole time but my hcg (hormone) level was too low to detect it (it has to be over 25 to detect) two weeks later it was 900 thats why the 2nd test was + try another test next week or better yet get a blood test if the level is over 5 you are pregnant good luck

Sometimes the test are wrong, I know mine all were, and I still had my period for a couple of months after I got pregnant you should try again in a week or two.

My pregnancy test never came out positive (not even the ones at the doctors office) and I have three beautiful children.

There could be several reasons why you had a light period.
So I think to be absolutely sure you should go to your Dr. and have blood work done to confirm/decline the possibility of being pregnant. Good Luck & I hope the Best for You and your Husband!! Keep trying if it comes up negative.

Over the counter tests are not always the most accurate. Wait another week or so to retest and if you're still uncertain then I would suggest going to a clinic to find out.
