My son had colon surgery as an infant, and now still continues to have almost daily accidents. School has started again and I told him he needs to fix this problem because nobody can help him but himself. He takes 5 Imodium a day to bulk him up, is careful what he eats, and goes to the office to clean up at lunch if necessary. I have told him he has a week to not come home dirty from school any more (he can clean up as many times as needed at school).The teacher (everybody is) is aware of his problem. I told him I will start to punish him now if he continues to not go to the bathroom. It is NOT a medical problem anymore , it is pure laziness and not wantitng to do it. I need suggestions on what to do to make the punishment fit , so that he learns from it. Taking away PS2 or TV will do nothing. He already gets a $1 a day when he stays clean. He earns about $4 a week now. Help? anybody?

I have 3 children and we own a vauxall astra, we already own 2 car seats for our 6month old daughters, but now with the new law i will have to buy one for our son but it needs to fit the middle rear seat. any ideas on where to find one to fit the middle seat???

ok my 3yr old starts nursery on friday morning 9-11:30am

the problem is these last few days he has been saying he hates school and he hates his soon to be new friends (he hasnt met any kids yet.lol)
he is my last child out of 4 and i admit spoilt rotten so when he crys or gets upset he is cuddled and everything..lol.

we have only just recently stopped his tantrums and gawd were they bad full screaming kicking throwing throwing himself on the floor tantrums lasting sometimes up to 1hr he does have them on the odd occasion now.. and this is what is scaring me if he does this while in nursery because he doesnt want to go..

i want to try and get him there without him seeing me upset because i know im going to be very worried and miss him like crazy and just cry.lol..

so whats the best calm way to get him of to nursery without to much of a fuss??

i have a two year old baby acctually she is 1 year and 11 months she screams too much and she heats me and spits at me and never wants to do what i tell her, just likes to do the opposite, i tried hitting her it doesn't help she is only hating me for that, when i scream at her she looks for her daddy, i have my personal problems with my husband but i dont whant to make my baby suffers for anything, sometimes i am upset at my husband but i scream at my poor baby and she just cries but at times she pisses me off on purpose.

This is gonna sound really strange, today i woke up and although i felt a little nautious *as usual* i didnt really feel pregnant, my boobs arent as sore and my pants feel a little looser.... is this anything to worry about, im 17 weeks pregnant and counting? I havent felt the baby kick properly - just little twinges but as this is my first baby im not too sure - any help would be greatly appreciated

Is it hard being a single mother? I am 24, I don't have a partner but a friend who I have been seeing for over 2 years. I would really like a baby now... I have a full time job, have been here for 3 years so maternity leave wouldnt be a problem. Do you get help with housing from the council when you have a baby?

when he hits, i tell him "do not hit mommy" and put him in time out. I do exactly what super nanny says... but sometimes we're in public, and i tell him, and he starts SCREAMING AND SCREAMING AND SCREAMING and it's even worse!!

yesterday i asked if the dr was was wrong in not inducing my sister a week early i got a lot of great answers back but i should have add that she started to dialate 3 weeks ago and last week when she went to the dr he told her he could fell the babys head trough her cervix already a that was the reasion behide inducing her early and yesterday she goes and he tells he cant do it becouse he cant find her cervix if the baby is sitting that low could she be in danger?

i was wondering b/c i want to know other's opinions about a good age to tell a child about the fact of their parent being gay or lesbian... ive been noted by a professional for the age to be between 4 -6 that way it is instilled in their mind yet no it wont be fully understand but they will grow up knowing those facts instead of trying to tell a 12 yr old that their mother is a lesbian... its easier when their young but what are you all's opinion on it?

Firstly, he doesn't like going to bed (7.30-8pmish, after a day at nursery), and makes any excuse to come downstairs again.

Then, in the small hours, he usually appears by my bed with some worry or other and climbs in. If I put him back to his bed he won't settle and comes back. I can't lock him in and if I close our door he just knocks and waits noisily. He's a confident, outgoing child, so it's not really in character, and this has been going on for weeks.

I'm thinking of a sticker chart perhaps, with a sticker given every morning after he's spent the whole night in bed. Anyone have any better suggestions? We're exahusted with the upheaval.
