No, childhood is not a race, we are to concerned about gettting children to achieve much stuff older than there years, let children be children and let them grow up in there own time, I hate to see a 7 year old girl dress as if they were 18 / 19 wearing mini skirts and items that are way above there years,

I don't think early childhood is , Although adolescence is .
as some of us don't mature as fast as others .Those that do certainly have the opportunity for a head start
