Many boosters do need a shoulder belt so consider that. I believe they make some that you belt in and they have their own restraint if you only have a lap belt. You should be able to go to a store where they sell some boosters you like and explain that they have to fit a tight area. The sales people will help you fit them into the car with the girls seats in so you can see which works best. If one store isn't cooperative or doesn't have a good booster don't worry try as many as neccesary. You're the one who has to you these seats every day. Good luck

Putting a child no matter what age in a booster seat in the middle is not a safe place, if an accident occurred (God forbid), the middle safety belt could burst the stomach lining with the force of impact, it would be better if the 2, 6 month carriers are placed one at the back and one at the front, then the booster seat could sit behind one of the chairs giving your son more protection with the shoulder strap

i looked on the internet yesterday and it explains that you get the right seat for the weight of the child and as far as im aware if your son is old enough it is fine for a normal booster seat in the middle as long as its correctly fitted, try typing in child car seat laws and you can get the information and you can also ask questions if you are unsure

Mothercare - go in and ask because i'm pretty sure tht in the new law it states that if not enough room dont have to have one if 3rd child is over three. But it is advised to try to get one as its your childs life at risk.

Also see if the car seat for the children at 6mths will be able to go in the middle. Mothercare will find out and offer to fit.

A friend of mine has three seats across the back of their car so it is possible. Halfords do a fitting service so they would probably be good people to speak to to get some advice on which ones could be used.

particular they are going to all in good shape. I had a Mercury sable (very high quality automobile) and we had a automobile seat and booster seat then had my niece for a weekend and had her automobile seat. It became tight yet all in good shape. i might positioned the booster on the top nevertheless as its much less demanding for buckling. you're unlikely to get plenty smaller automobile seats and except you circulate to a activities application motor vehicle or van, you will not get plenty greater seat room. you would be high quality.

If you read the law really carefully there's actually a get-out clause for the middle seat, providing both seats either side are fitted with child seats that are in use. (Provided the third child is over 3)

Not sure what type of seat your son needs, but we had one for my niece (just a block to sit on) to raise her to the correct height so that the seatbelt fitted properly over her shoulder.
Those things are just held in place by the 'lap' part of the belt anyway, so a centre lap-belt should be fine.
