u may b having what is called round ligament pains, i get them too. the pain happens in my lower abdomen near my hip bone about where my panty line is. it happens because the weight of teh baby is stretching ur ligament which will give u a sharp pain. the pain is normal and is not hurting the baby, u will get many more before u deliver. ask ur doctor about it

it may also b a sign of ectopic pregnancy which is very serious and u would need immediate medical attention. if ur still in ur fist trimester i would worry

maybe u should post ur question again and include how far along u are, if the pains are sharp or dull, how frequetly they happen

You should get checked out by your doctor, but I remember when i was pregnant the first few weeks i had a sharp pain so bad it couldnt sleep,i thought i was going to loose the baby but it wasnt anything serious other than what said on an earlier post,my uterus was getting stretched to acomodate the growing fetus.please get examined just to be on the safe side.

I didn't have that in either of my pregnancies, so I don't know if it's "normal". Call your doctor this morning and tell them what's going on. Any time you think that something is not normal in your prenancy, call your doctor. Don't wait and don't be afraid to call your doctor! This is your health and the health of your baby! Good luck.

It depends on how far along you are. Sometime it is the pressure of the baby laying on your bladder and such. If you are really concerned, call your doctor and ask.
