My sister in law has just gotten divorced from my brother. During the course of the marriage, she chose to be a stay at home mom against his wishes, it was also something he could not afford. Now that she is divorced she calls him up expecting him to give her money ( more then child support) but no alimony has been granted to her. She asked me what my advice is to her, and I told her to " get a job", but she says she can't and she won't, she just expects my brother to support her so she can still play the housewife! Now she calls me everyday begging for money I am not going to give her. The only thing that I can tell her is why didn't she think of this in the first place? I swear it is like dealing with a child, this woman has never earned a dime, she has no idea what it really means to work! She has always had men paying for everything. I told her that if you want to be a good mother you need to get a job to support your kids since this is the 21st century.

I have Pcos and have been on metformin for three months now. I had a 21 day progesterone test beforehand and I was actually ovulating without the use of metformin. The problem is I still havnt got pregnant and I am beginning to feel like its never going to happen, I know when I ovulate and have sex around this time so what is wrong with me? How long should this take normally? I heard that 1 in 3 women get preg within the first 2 months of taking metformin. Can anyone help??

No I am not an idiot..
I have called a labor and delievery nurse and they just told me what I knew they were going to tell me which is that my contractions aren't close enough together for going to the hospital. They are only about 10 minutes apart... It's my first baby I don't know what it's supposed to feel like..
Thats why this is a Q&A site!
Why do you people have to be such a*sholes?

I think I am in labor...I am 38 weeks 2 days pregnant. I am having some really painful contractions but they aren't far enough apart to go to the hospital yet. Every time I have a contraction the baby seems to "freak out" and start moving all over the place. More than shes moved in days and days.. is this normal? Does it sound like labor? Maybe shes scared cuz her comfy little room is moving all around her? I don't want to go to the hospital now cuz if it's not and I am just paranoid than I have to pre admit all over again so I wanna be sure before I go.

Also... I have already lost my mucus plug and had my membranes stripped on thur. evening. I was 70% effaced and 1 cm dilated before my membranes were stripped..

Women only please or anyone who not going to give me a silly answer...Im not being crude im trying to get pregnant, but I just wondered if you all experienced it running back out of you after youve had sex, or does some still stay up there?? I cant remember how it was with ex-boyfriends so im asking you ladies, it happens most of the time. The semen is not too runny when I have seen it, is this a problem in becoming pregnant?? Please help!

How can you tell if your 6 month old has strep or other throat virus? My husband has had a very bad sore throat for days now and hasn't had time to go get it checked cuz of his crazy work and school schedule, and now today our infant has been fussy and coughing a lot (doesn't sound like a cold, though) and having a hard time sleeping unless we give her tylenol.
Would it be serious enough to take her to a doctor to be checked?

My son has just started kindergarten and he has been with me every since the day he was born and now he is gone 5 days a week and I'm scared something bad is going to happen.He rides a bus and I'm scared one day he's not going to get off the bus because he either got on the wrong bus or got off at the wrong bus stop or something.I'm scared the teacher is going to do something bad to him to hurt him or something.I'm just SO SCARED something bad will happen.I cry somedays when he goes to school.I'm used to him being around.I miss him being gone now.,and scared somethings going to happen. was anyone else like this when their child first started school? sorry if I sound crazy Im just scared of him being away.

I'm a week and a day late, I have never been this late before..I am married,sexually active,no birth control, I thought I was cramping earlier today, but it only lasted for around two hours, then went completely away, my lower back started hurting kinda bad, then that subsided after i sat down for a while,and now im bloated.. I took a pregnancy test two nights ago and it was negative,how soon should i test again?

My husband had a vasectomy about 5 years ago. He went to all of the after tests that they need to do, and got the all-clear that it had worked. After having symptoms for weeks now, I decided to take a pregnancy test tonight. It came back postive. We couldn't believe it. (I recently started a new medication that can cause fatigue, dizziness, weakness, and nausea, so I was attributing most of the side effects to that.) I took two more tests, both came back positive. I will call my dr. on Monday, but these tests have always been reliable in the past; I have three kids. My husband was actually ARGUING with me, basically saying it was impossible to get me pregnant bc he's had this operation. I looked on the PP site and although it says it is "almost 100% effective," it didn't say 100! He also said it could be "psycho-symatic," as if I could PRODUCE the pregnany hormone by wanting another baby. I have NOT been with anyone else and know my husband knows this, we are both just in shock. Help!

then he'll yell at me and about 10 or 20 minutes of not talking to each other he wants to apologize and expects me to forgive him that easily. im not too good at forgiving people. i just say that i do so he'll leave me alone. but he always does this. why wont he leave me alone? he knows that i hate the town that i live in. i hate the school that i go to. i hate the people (teaches and students) who are there. and i dont want to have to come home and hate him too. he must want me to move out as soon as im done w/ highschool. maybe even before. cuz that is what im thinking. i want to go back to the town that i moved from and live in an apartment or something like that. he is the reason that i have the scars on my wrist that he never sees. i've run out of options. what do i do?

My daughter had a sleepover today, and I kept noticing her friend itching her scalp. I finally asked her some questions and it seems that it was possible that she may have been treated recently. Anyhow, I asked if she would like me to look at her scalp and she wanted me to. I could see bugs crawling in her hair - they actually looked like small fleas - although we supposedly do not have fleas in Alaska. I had her Mom come get her, but, I am wondeirng if I should shampoo my daughters hair with Rid and spray the areas they played in - just to be safe. HELP!!!

YES I DO THINK THAT IS WHAT I HAVE I HAD AN ULTRASOUND A FEW MONTHS AGO TO SEE IF THINGS ARE OK AND WHY MY PERIODS ARE SO WIERD. I miss mine...sort of sad since school started - mine are in middle school. It isn't like I don't have a life, I am taking a part-time vocational course and start another college course next month, I have lots to do, but the kids are so busy now, even after school, I don't see enough of them. This is going to sound stupid but I'll say it anyway.
