The effect of watching porn is that it desensatizes the person to what is corrupt, evil, lustful, and ungodly. Lust is one of the "seven deadly" sins which corrupts a soul from being modesty and innocent. The other effect of porn is that it "dehumanizes" the people engaged in it in any way. Our existence in this life is physical but our spiritual home is heaven. When we act upon our animal lusts we diminish our spiritual relationship with God.
Have you ever heard the phrase, "See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil"? This pertains to our 3 dimensional existence which is physical, mental, and spiritual. When we "see" evil it is a physical act. When we "hear" evil it affects our mental state. When we "speak" evil it is our soul verbalizing itself.
Human sexuality starts mentally and becomes physical when we act upon the fantasies we have. Because we are creatures of habit and you have become "addicted" to porn you will need to keep your mind preoccupied on other, more holier projects.
The good thing is you recognize you're habit to porn. Now, you need to get rid of everything that TEMPTS you to watch it. Will power and controlling our animal lusts is a difficult thing. I will be praying for you successfully conquering this habit. I have a few bad habits of my own and ask for your prayers as well.
