I'd just wait it out... see where it takes you. I lost my mucus plug with my second child and went to the hospital in 'false-labor'. HOW EMBARRASSING. So, my advice it to just relax and see what happens... hopefully your water will break and you'll be CERTAIN that it's time to go!!!
Good luck Mama!!

Never mind the fact that you're 38 weeks along and were one centimeter dilated, if you had your membranes stripped on Thursday you are definitely in labor. Go to the hospital right now. It's a good thing she's moving around, but with your plug gone, your membranes stripped, and 70% effacement I'd worry about the possibility of fetal stress if she doesn't come out soon. Of course, I could be wrong but better safe than sorry.

I am 41 wks pregnant and had my membranes stripped twice already starting at 38 wks and it has done nothing for me. Except I lost my mucus plug at 38 wks at 1cm dialted. Now at 41 wks I am 2cm dialated and 80 percent effaced and having irregular braxton hicks for weeks. For days now my baby has been alot more active and fluttering her arms and legs which my doctor says is completely normal and sign of a healthy baby. For me it seems like labor is never going to come. Some ppl on here seem to comment on having your membranes stripped as a big deal. All it does is sometimes help jump start labor if your baby is ready by irritating your amniotic sac from your cervix to get you to release prostaglandins. It doesnt always put you in labor. Dont worry and rush to the hospital unless your water breaks or your contractions get regular.

I've had 4 vaginal childbirths, and I completely understand your not wanting to feel foolish and being sent home. But that's not going to happen today. You were 70 percent effaced TWO FREAKING DAYS AGO AND YOUR MEMBRANES ARE STRIPPED. Girl, I hope you don't live in a big city cuz that child is going to come quick. and if you are waiting for your contractions to become exact and timely, they don't. they jump all over the place until the last couple of minutes. so don't put too much credence on that theory.
Please, please...GO NOW TO THE HOSPITAL. It's time.'
Let us know what happens

It does sound as though you are in the early stages of labor, but your baby should not be moving about so much when the contraction occurs. As many people have stated in their answers (some more unkindly than others), if you are concerned, call your OB. They will be able to answer your questions and minimize your worries. Labor is hard on you, but can be extremely difficult for an infant to experience. By all means, if you feel that your baby is in distress....go to the hospital...DO NOT be concerned that you are bothering the staff..that is what they are there for!!! Good Luck~

I would say yes it could be early sign that you have started your labour I would wait until the pains are closer to time. Next time you get a contraction touch your tummy if your tummy goes hard during the pain and soft again after the pain I would say yes its labour at least early starting.
what I mean by hard it would go more hard then it would be normal with the baby inside. each time the pain comes the tummy will go hard. Each time the pain goes the tummy will go soft or back to normal. All the best of luck oh and but don't leave it too long to go in to hospital as some times babies can come by fast.

yes dear you are in labor......congratulations! When the contractions are consistently 5 minutes apart call the hospital, they will tell you when to come in......it may not be until they are 3 minutes apart........let them know though that the baby is moving a lot, a hormone is supposed to kick in that sort of semi paralyzes them....it makes them a lot less active. It kicked in with my son but not my daughter.......its nothing to worry about but its a heck of a lot more comfortable if they move less. Both of my kids were ten or twelve days early....just think, they gain a pound a week at this stage so a bit early is a heck of a lot easier on you!

I would go to the L&D. Sounds like the baby could not be reacting to the contractions very well. If it is spontanous spurts and panicky movement then that is a good sign that the contractions are not helping the baby. Good Luck.
I would seriously call your doctor or something.

sure I had the comparable worry. Mine all started whilst i substitute into approximately 7 months alongside. i be attentive to that sounds early yet it relatively is whilst all of it started for me. i did no longer sleep for some week, then i began out to cool down. i found out that each and all of the strain and absence of sleep would finally end up sending me into early labor. i think of it happens to maximum females human beings. merely to no longer many human beings communicate approximately it. merely attempt to loosen up. Do what your primary practitioner tells you. Do very almost something to get the sleep you decide on. different than that i'm unsure a thank you to shelter it.
