I tried to have a check made out to my husband cashed today. He is depolyed and I have power of attorney. The bank said they are refusing my power of attorney and he would need to be present to cash the check. I advised them he is deployed and they still denied it. I need to cash this since we have no money at the present and it seems to me that power of attorney is the same as having him there. Any ideas on what to do or who to call. Im waiting for a JAG to call me back per the FRG.

I was told that you can get the gas but nothing from the store... but looking at the disclaimer on the pumps that seems incorrect. Does anyone know? If you are in Arlington, VA, I am talking about the NEX station on S Joyce st.

I am about to graduate soon, and am thinking about attending OCS for the Navy. I'm concerned though about making payments on bills that I already have (car, loans, etc) while I'm going through the program. How much does an OC get paid while they are going through the program?

I'm a British citizen and I know in theory, you can only join the US military if you have aquiered permenant residency in the US; in practice would I be able to join without this or is it basically a no-goer? If I went to a recruiter in the UK (I think they exist), do I have much chance?

Thanks
