No. Use of an NEX gas station is restricted to active duty, retired military personnel, reservists and national guard on active duty and the dependents of same. You will have to show proper ID before using the pumps.

Civillians are not suppose to be able to get gas at the NEX stations. However, there is really no way to stop them since there is nobody checking IDs and the station is not really on the physical base. Additionally, I do not see why civillians can't get at any NEX/PX, it is the same price as every place else. I often wonder why the PX/NEX gas prices are not any cheaper than civillian stations. We as military members get a sales tax break when we buy at the PX/NEX, but when it comes to gas, do not get the tax break and get reamed like the rest of the country.

No, you are not supposed to buy gas there but probably what people you have been speaking to are referring to is if the pumps are self-serve and pay at pump chances are no one would check if you are an authorized patron or not. When we lived in Georgia the base was open to the town (no gate to drive through). If you used the pumps at the C-store no one ever checked bc they were pay at pump so sometimes civilians would use them but they were not supposed to.Is the gas there less expensive than other gas stations in the area? Where we live the gas on base is more exspensive. I hope this answers your question.

NO. Only DoD ID holders may get Gas at any NEX or AAFES gas station. If you are not a civilian who works at the Pentagon or NSA, you cannot buy gas there.

Only authorized patrons are supposed to purchase gas from the NEX gas station.. authorized patrons would be active duty military, dependents, retired.. etc. Not just someone working in the area.

The only way civilians can get gas is if they are a military dependent. If this doesn't answer your question, you can go ask the attendant.
