You'd think they'd get some replacements. I know its durable, but that seems a little old for a tank.

Back in World War Two, many top baseball players served in the military. Among them: Bob Feller, Ted Williams, Jackie Robinson, Hank Greenberg, Joe DiMaggio and Yogi Berra. Other than Pat Tillman, who has volunteered? If we are in a fight for civilization, as President Bush says, why don't we see more celebrity volunteers? Sean Hannity, are you listening?

In the spirit of "democracy", would the US allow them back in?

I mean, if they're VOTED in, you HAVE to let them govern... Otherwise the US government would be branded as the biggest hypocrites of all time?

So... What if a Taliban party propped itself up and was elected?

i just got done with my meps physical/medical exam and i was disqualified because of my hearing. they tested me twice for my hearing just to make sure and i still scored bad. but it was obvious to them that i didnt really have a big problem with my hearing while i was talking to the doctor and everyone eles that was testing me at the meps. so what happen was this one army sergeant that works at the meps station said that he will get me a waiver. but the question stuck in my mind is that if its a bad thing? i mean its obvious i can hear and have no problem with it. will it disqualify me for some jobs or completely? what are my chances of getting into the army because of this?

in large cargo planes, are the planes carrying other cargo or wounded military personel, or are they being used expressly for the transport of the dead soldier and his/her escort?
If the latter is the case, it seems like a waste of transport, time and manpower.
Make no mistake, North America is at war in the Middle East and those planes must surely have some purpose other than just performing hearse duties.
During the first and second world wars, the dead were laid to rest in the country where they fell.
Today's soldiers deserve nothing more than those of previous wars, they gave nothing more, they showed no more heroism.

I don't want to get into any big war arguments about what is right and what's wrong, I'm just confused about how it all started. Someone said they don't want us in their "holy land", but if we left those areas would they leave us alone? Or do they just hate us because we are powerful America??? I really want to know more about the war, but it is such a sensitive topic, I stay away from it and there are soooo many opinions rather than facts. I don't know what to believe???

If somone has a german passport can they be drafted into the army? In the Vietnam war the American drafted people into the war, and seeing as that was also the case in World War II, I have heard that that hadn't been revoked. Could they draft if needed?

First of all, thank you for all who answered my question before. I felt may be I wasn't clear on my question before, so I am reposting:
I am an Asian,a non US Citizen but I am a permanent resident of US. 28 years old. Couldn't decide if USMC is good for me or not. USMC Recruiter told I can only join as E-2 though I hold a masters in IT and professional work experience as IT-Programmer. Army and Navy offered me E-4/E-3 with bonuses but said I cannot start as an officer unless I am a citizen. I certainly want to serve the nation , be a US Citizen and see myself as an officer in whatever the branch I do. I am skinny but never did Jim/workout/running... always work on Computers mostly.
My Questions:
1. Will I be able to finish the boot camp in USMC at 28?
2. Should I look more into Army/navy?
3. Do I have to start at E-2? Can I join as O1 or atleast E-4 in in USMC?
Please help me to decide a right path . I am not married nor have any children. Would love to soon.
