For starters most of the people in the military would flat our disobey that order. I would I swore alliagence to the Constitution not to Washington DC. If anything most of the military would be marching on DC to throw the DOMESTIC ENEMIES OF THE CONSTITUTION out of power. Finally it is a human nature question. Most people in the military come from gun owning families above all else every soldier is someones son or daughter. Loyalty to family is first.

Since these actions never happen suddenly I would make sure I had already buried/stashed a weapon and ammunition. When they showed up at the door I would co-operate with the search and seizure of any remaining weapons. Then I would get organized and destroy the politicians and military units responsible when I have the numbers and initiative.

Well first, I'd make sure I'm out of the area fully loaded and have the means for survival for a while. Second, if it were a surprise thing, then quoted from before "they can take them from my cold, dead hands." Since one military men proudly said that most would disobey that order, it hope that holds true because it didn't work after hurricane Katrina.

The framers of the Constitution didn't put the right to bear arms in it just for grins and grunts. They did that so the citizenry would have the means to overthrow an out of control government. The scenario you stated is highly unlikely to happen simply because our citizens are well armed and would fight back.

hypotheticly or is there a part of the US i should know about right now? I think this is more of an opinion question than a right or wrong. I would have left before it got that far... I cant take the loss of much more freedom and I prefer to have the right to bear arms.

Load my rifle and shoot the ammunition at them. Better to die in a free world than live in one that does not even give us basic freedoms.

Tell the truth. I don't have any. I tell them I understand it is their job and give a drink of my special lemonade and to keep up the good work for the man.

I hope they don't notice the bomb making equipment or the chemical biohazards.

In all honesty, since it will never happen (I hope) I wont loose any sleep over it.

Tell them they have no use for my BB guns and the neighbor has a howitzer stash. Fail that, lock them out and tell them no.
