Blackwater operatives get 10k a month from what I have heard and I make that in about 2 weeks and I am actually helping people and the planet as opposed to what one can do in the military

War is an ugly business. Anyone who thinks it's a glamourous thing will learn soon enough.

The paramilitary corporate armies (such as Blackwater) pretty much only take people who have trained already for hazard circumstances.

There's a great quote by Hemmingway about his time in WWI that explains what war is about:

"I was always embarrassed by the words sacred, glorious, and sacrifice and the expression in vain. We had heard them, sometimes standing in the rain almost out of earshot, so that only the shouted words came through, and had read them, on proclamations that were slapped up by billposters over other proclamations, now for a long time, and I had seen nothing sacred, and the things that were glorious had no glory and the sacrifices were like the stockyards at Chicago if nothing was done with the meat except to bury it. [...] Abstract words such as glory, honor, courage, or hallow were obscene beside the concrete names of villages, the number of roads, the names of rivers, the number of regiments and the dates." -- Ernest Hemmingway "A Farewell to Arms"

It does not pay well when you first join. I spent 26 yrs in the Navy, and by the end I was doing pretty well. The experience I gained helped me to get a job on the "outside" that doesn't include the words para military. And I do make a good living now.

don't know you'll have to ask someone who has done that. let's see there all dead though so travel back in time a few hundred years and ask a British, french,Italian,German, dutch,Russian,Egyptian,Persian or any other number of old world country. you can go back before the America was ever founded because we have never engaged in either kind of war, even though you are trying to make that accusation.

you make 10k every couple of weeks? you help people and the planet making that much money? your full of it sorry. any job doing that would pay you nothing because you would be out wasting time and other peoples money marching in a protest somewhere.

It is a feeling that you will know. A simple ungrateful "thank you" would suffice rather than your feeble and sarcastic attempt at humor. The best part about the internet is that you can be anything you want to be...10K in 2 weeks? Yeah, OK. BTW, 10K in a month...that is a little low. Then you gotta factor in the tax breaks.

It may not pay well but the satisfaction of watching you die would be worth doing it for free. I spent 10 years as a U.S. Army ranger and on one of your other questions you called me a criminal, the only criminal act I have comitted is not finding you and shipping your pompus a*s out of my beloved country, if you truly make 10k every two weeks being the idiot that you are, you shouldnt have any complaints about this country or its administration.
