Military - September 2007

A soldier was playing adult coed softball with his church when entering the game the umpire noticed that the soldier had on his dog tags and rudely told him to remove them. Without any conflict the soldier removed them and ran to take his place on the field. While running out, the women working in the booth said something to the umpire about how he handled the situation with the soldier and the umpire responded by saying something along the lines of ‘I don’t care- he isn’t at war.’ This conversation occured, unbeknownst to the umpire, right in front of the soldiers wife. The soldiers wife was very hurt because her husband has sacrificed a lot to wear those dog tags but said nothing. After the game the soldier had a few CHOICE WORDS with the umpire after speaking to his wife about why she was upset and now his integrity as a person and a Christian is in question.

People that has been through the military had no problem giving up their life to protect the rights of others and to preserve the freedoms that other might still enjoy in life. I for one had no problem with this. So the question is would you?

San Fransissyco has denied the Marines use of a city street for their silent drill team. Yet the gay's are granted full access.
Who would you rather have defend you?

so here`s the deal:
i know what i am putting myself into...and please no advises on how hard that might be and all that...i just made my mind and i know my life is gonna SUCK for 5 years if i am successful enough to get enrolled...i might be risking my life and such...

and please no trivia stuff about FFL- i`ve talked and read all the sources i could find....(it`s for the people who never get to the point)

the question- one of the basic phisical requrements are to be able to run 5 miles in less than an hour with 45 pounds on your shoulders...so i can do it...BUT I AM A VEGAN(in my case that`s the only way i can put up with my stupid health troubles(flatulance, fatugue due to gluten, dairy, yeast and other intolerances...)) so it means i take supplements...so i could feel myself pretty good...IS IT ENOUGH REASON FOR THEM TO CAST ME OFF AT THE MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS? i know if i am "in"- there`s no me no more: from then on they possess my soul and decide what`s good for me or not..

Im graduating next quarter and I want to join the military to get some real world job experience in my majors field. I've heard that as a graduate I am able to join as an officer and not as an enlisted individual. What does this mean as far as bootcamp is concerned? Does it apply for officers as well? What is the difference in training between officership and general enlistment? What activities will be different, which ones will be the same?

Thanks guys

We are a 150 strong clique, but we need more. I am sure that this can help get us some street cred. We are already trained by Da Skreets, so we have already humbly accepted their offer to be in the Green Berets.

It's well-known that the company has video rolling during their missions, for various reasons. If the company was really using justified force during the now-famous shooting incident that seems to have gotten them into trouble, then the video will show it. They have nothing to lose by releasing the video... unless, of course, the video shows something they don't want people to see...

What do people make of this? Why doesn't Blackwater just release the unedited video, and clear their name?

My husband just left for Iraq. He joined the army against my wishes, and he has hated it personally. It's been terrible for our family. He doesn't believe in the war. I don't believe in the war. I have no friends. No family. My proffessor threatened to flunk me in class because I spent the last week with him and didn't attend lectures which I already understood. People won't listen to me. They don't really care. He's going to be gone for 15-18 months. I can't do it. I want to hurt myself. I want to die. If I starve myself, will they give him back? What if I break both my ankles? What if I make myself sick or try to induce a heart attack? Will they give him back? I'll do anything. I can't stand this. I came from an abusive home and now my husband is gone and I'm alone. I just want him back. I hate this war. I wish my family never got involved in it.
