Yes Kimmy. We have professional interrogators that have no need to rely on torture and don't.

Many lie through their teeth.
Many roll right over and tell everything. We've had a number of successes recently with this, as per my sources and reported in my daily report.

Diyala province is looking to be a very successful campaign.

Torture really is not a good way of getting GOOD information - torture just makes people say whatever it is they think will get you to stop causing pain. Not the truth. That's just common sense. And who would want information that isn't truthful? That defeats the whole purpose of torture in the first place.

People that think without a doubt that the US government tortures people in the way you see in movies just have no clue about reality.

It has very little to do with being humane and a lot to do with wanting to get good information.

Now psychologically influencing people to WANT to tell you TRUTHFUL things (i.e. winning their heart and mind and other psychological advantages)... that's the best way to do things with a prisoner and it's more humane as a bonus. Also, if you release that prisoner back into the world eventually, another bonus is they aren't going to go around telling horror stories and inciting more people to fight against you either.

Even using some drugs like Sodium Pentathol is a better way than flat out painful torturing.

Regular enemy prisoners (not foreign mujahadin, known terrorists, or higher level enemy combatants) taken in Iraq are not 'tortured.' They may be interrogated briefly but it's nothing you couldn't stand personally. Most are released back to their families after being verbally interrogated on a promise to not be caught doing anything again. If they break that promise and aren't killed while doing so, they will end up somewhere like Guantanamo Bay for a long time.

Yes, a lot of the muslim terrorists we catch squeal like little pigs that can't find their mother pig, and the more they learn about the American way, the more they squeal on the muslim terrorists who haven't yet learned how wrong that suicide bombing cult is.

Wouldn't you admit to whatever you were being accused of, even if it wasn't true, because you were being tortured?

If the torture is unbearable, I'm sure they would.

Do you honestly believe our country doesn't condone torture? If you do, you're living in a fantasy world.

Imagine that someone tortures you, it doesn't matter what you say they keep torturing you until they hear what they WANT to say. When you say that, is that good information? or just what they wanted to hear?
Military intelligence is (and always has been) an oxymoron.
