I would think this would be a huge YES. And especially if he is being given a military funeral.
Check with the family about the memorial. The way they have it set up should be your answer about wearing your uniform.
But, honestly, if you are an active Airman, I'd say, irregardless of ceremony, your best way to honor an old Marine is to salute him goodbye irregardless of his age or duty status at time of death. You, yourself, said it when you termed him a 'retired marine'. From serviceman to serviceman, wouldn't you want his respectful salute at your funeral?

Yes!!!!! Why do you ask? Are you not proud of your uniform? Do you not think the Retiring Marine deserves the respect of you wearing your uniform?

It is customary that you were your uniform. For civilians, you would wear a suit but anyone in the armed forces should wear their dress uniform to memorials.

I'm sure of the protocol surrounding the dress uniforms but I would assume that it would be appropriate out of respect for a fellow soldier. You may want to check with your superiors first though to see if it is acceptable.

you do no longer could positioned on your uniform until you basically prefer to. in case you prefer a protection stress wedding ceremony then you definately could positioned on your gown uniform. My fiance is interior the army and we're not making plans on him wearing his type A's through fact we don't prefer a protection stress wedding ceremony.
