I am completely deaf in my right ear, (well over 100db hearing loss), but my left ear has no loss and actually hears above average. By no means am I "hard of hearing." But here is where my questions comes in:

1. Is it possible to join the Air Force? (this doesn't just include being a pilot, but maybe other areas within, like medical?)

2. Can I be in AFROTC? (again, maybe not just a scholarship to be a pilot but for anything else maybe?)

3. I know the answer to this is probably no, because I have hearing loss, but Is it at all possible for me to be a pilot in the air force?

Thank You

American people don't say thank you enough.I just wanted to say thank you. There are alot of things wrong in America but that does not mean it is the worst place to live. We get opportunities and enjoy freedom that some people never get.So thank you troops I realized the sacrifices you have made so thank you.It is so easy for people to criticize you from the safety of their homes, instead of facing danger abroad like you. If you don't agree with this message please do not respond or make negative remarks. I pray that all you come safely soon.THANKS SOLDIERS XOXOXO

I read about that rule here.
http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/militarylaw1/a/milpolitics_2.htm

Ron Paul, Obama, and McCain have received the most donations from military personnel and veterans.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2007-09-13-military-donors_N.htm
http://www.militaryforpaul.com/donations.html
Will the FEC make the candidates refund those donations?
Will their military contributors be punished by the military?

I am in the Active Army Stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana.
I am an E-2.
I am with 258 MP Co.

My First Sergeant and Company Commander have decided to force all single soldiers living in the Billets(Barracks) to be on a Meal Card.

Our DFAC closes at 1800 and we usually don't get off until 1700. I always exercise before I eat and even then, always eat something healthy afterwards.

This makes it impossible to fit into my lifestyle because I can never get my exercise complete and make it to the DFAC in time to eat the crappy greasy food anyway, therefore I'm never able to eat.

My question is:
Is there somewhere I can go(IG{Inspector General}, BOSS{Better Opportunity For Single Soldiers}) or someone I can talk to about getting on Seperate Rations since the Meal Card program doesn't fit into my healthy lifestyle?

Note: Save the answers saying "You're in the Army so they own you". You have more right's in the Army than you think.

Thanks for all the help,
PV2 Price

I dont understand why parents are there to push there kids into the army for education but when the going gets tough and they have to defend this damn country the parents blame the president! Some people join to actualy give us freedom and everyone just pushes them aside like the are the enemy. I have a really great friend that left for Iraq 2 days ago not because he had to but because he Asked to. Any views on this?

And no 'Depends' jokes!

Does anyone know someone who enlisted in the US military in his or her mid-late 30s? Or even up to 42, which I guess is the cut-off age, now?

Seems you'd face some different challenges--not only physically, but also I'd think it'd be far harder to really invest yourself totally in a new group (accepting the new values and priorities and such) at 38 than 18. And how strange to call someone your kid's age 'sir'?

What vivid memories of the war stay with you? Either fighting the war, or "serving" on the home front. "They also serve who stand and wait"!

My wife's older brother is a proud Viet Nam veteran. He is a sadder but wiser man after seeing war, and sort of shell shocked from experiencing it. He's bitter that Americans are so ungreatful!

Their dad fought in WWII, and spent time in a prisoner of war camp.

He ate turnips every meal...and never wanted to taste a turnip ever again after the war!!!

My mom was a WWII orphan. Her mom & dad, MY grandparents were murdered by the Nazis.

I know, some of you here would probably tell me this is absolutely impossible, but remember the story of cain and abel in the bible. Pound for pound for fire power between these two is formidable, Israel has the arsenal that could match the US in every way possible. Not to mention the tactical and the intelligence gathering they both have.
