Because that is what the spreadsheet I have from the department of defense says (total).

Is it possible that the first 4 years of Clinton's term, there were 4302 deaths, while the first 4 years of Bush, with a war, there were a total of 5187?

Does this put things in perspective for the death toll shouters?

-----
If you are going to call my numbers b.s., make sure you show me the numbers you have, and tell me where they came from.

I only have the first 4 years of Bush's term, and it adds up to 5187, and that includes wartime. If anyone has the numbers from 2005+, please post them.

This is my second year in JROTC (Highschool). So that means im a upper level cadet. Which means me and some other people have to take charge of the new cadets thats in the program. Well in my class im the only male upper level cadet in their, and the rest is female upper level cadets, plus the new people there. My teacher always get on me by saying that I suppose to set the example, and all of that crap. And it's kinda hard for me since im the ONLY upper level cadet male in the class:( By me being a very shy person its hard for me to take charge, singing cadence to them, marching them to places and all of that.

How can I overcome this? I really don't like talking charge because people used to pick on my voice in the past.

i thought that a decommissioned ship would be an excellent real estate opportunity. an aircraft carrier or an oil tanker would be ideal because the top deck could be covered in solar panels, and there would be plenty of space inside for a hydroponic garden or a small cattle farm. any suggestions?

DUBAI/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Osama bin Laden said in a new video marking the sixth anniversary of al Qaeda's September 11 attacks that the United States was vulnerable despite its military and economic power, but he made no specific threats.
In his first video appearance in almost three years, the al Qaeda leader said U.S. President George W. Bush was repeating the mistakes of the former Soviet Union by refusing to acknowledge losses in Iraq.

I think he meant that she got little or no money at all.

he also told that she is only 19 and she's been in the Army for 3 years and she's been Iraq.

Do you think what my teacher said is true or you think I just misheard what he said?

Anyway i will send him an email to confirm this. I respect him and love to listen to his life stories.

Okay, 2 months ago i met this guy who goes to a military academy so he's in the army. At first we just had a sexual relationship, because i knew he was leaving his school is 1'000 miles away i tried not to get my emotions envolved, but then he told me right before he left he really started to care about me and wanted to keep his feelings for me and stay in contact. I also really started to care about him i still do, we im each other just about every nite and talk on the phone once a week, so what i'am asking is should i keep my strong feelings for him, i want to but i'am scared of getting hurt like he will forget me in time since he's so far away cause thats something he,s use to leaving the people he care's about. I'am a real caring woman and i would really love to care for this man, but i want to know if ya'll think from what i 'am saying on here if this man really cares for me, but being in the army he cant go to far..

are there any units in the marine corps that go into battle by choppers?

and since im asking this question, might as well ask another related one

after boot camp and schooling to qualify for weapons and such, are u assigned to a unit?

and at that..are there names or seperate groups in units? such as:

amphibious vehicle assault
ground assault
air mobile assault

that kinda stuff?

IF there are, how would u go about being assigned to one? do you even have the option to applying to what unit you want to be in?

When i was 10, my family had a house fire, and the doctors told me that i had asthma due to that. From that point on, i was supposed to use and inhaler to help with my breathing. Over time, i noticed that i couldnt stay on that same "level" with my friends because i was constantly stopping to catch my breath. When i was 13, i decided that i didnt want to have asthma anymore, so i stopped using my inhaler, and going to the doctor, and just ignored it all together. When i decided that i wanted to join the military, i was worried about my asthma, and my recruiter told me that if i didnt think it was a big deal then not to say anything.. so i didnt. Now im getting ready to ship out in a few days, and im worried more about my asthma, because a co worker's son actually died at basic because he had asthma, and didnt tell meps. He died during PT from a massive asthma attack. If i decide to tell MEPS, what do you think will be my punishment since I havent shipped out yet?

I am 17 and a highschool senior , Im thinking of going to Norwich university Corps of Cadets,in NROTC, So I can then join the Marines as an officer, but my question is , is it better for me to join as an officer or enlisted , becouse. My cousin wants to go enlisted becouse he says he wants to be what the USMC calls the "Mustangs", or enlisted men who later become officers. Im thinking that that would be great too, becouse I wanna join the USMC not so much for the economic advantages but for the training. What is it like for a officer in the Marines?, for an enlisted? Can someone please tell me more about the Marines term "mustangs"

My bf was in the military for 9 years and he said the military changed him by making him care less about what others think and by giving him a stronger personality to let people know they're out of line. Is that pretty typical of most people in the military?

Why are ppl always putting down the army and the airforce and always saying how great the marines are and how better they are.

Are they better trained or is it stricter.

Also any major differences bettween the army and marines would be appreciated.
