I didnt take my ASVAB yet, it is scheduled on Tuesday. The recruiter told me this. Will I have to take the ASVAB at MEPS? Did the recruiter lie to me?

You will take the ASVAB and then do the physical. After that, you will choose your MOS, take your oath and do a lot of paperwork.

You may or may not do the physical on the same day as the ASVAB. For me, I took the ASVAB, they put a bunch of people in a hotel for the night and everyone came back at 0400 to do paperwork and begin the physical. For others, they go to MEPS, take the ASVAB and come back another time for the physical.

The entire point of going to meps is to enlist and enter the dep, you can't do so unless you take the asvab first, so if you are going to meps, you'll be taking it there.

i dunno..i took the asvab in high school...then the recruiters started calling. the asvab tells you what your aptitudes are (what you might be good at based on a standardized test). never go to a recruiter blind. hope you haven't signed anything yet.

You have to pass the ASVAB before you can get the physical

You might have to take it tomorrow. Don't worry... it's not that hard. Do not let your recruiter limit your options by telling you that the school that you were supposed to go to is full and you will have to wait. If he does...wait. Don't end up being a cook or something. Good luck and remember to cough.
