DUBAI/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Osama bin Laden said in a new video marking the sixth anniversary of al Qaeda's September 11 attacks that the United States was vulnerable despite its military and economic power, but he made no specific threats.
In his first video appearance in almost three years, the al Qaeda leader said U.S. President George W. Bush was repeating the mistakes of the former Soviet Union by refusing to acknowledge losses in Iraq.

Any person who believes Bin Ladin did anything to the US is a retard.

A new Zogby International poll released yesterday shows that 51% of Americans (up from 45% last year) want Bush and Cheney to be directly investigated for their actions on 9/11 and 67% fault the 9/11 Commission for their failure to probe the anomalous collapse of WTC 7.

Hours after the release of the poll Bin Laden pops up and promises us a new editorial comment. Coincidence? Precisely the same thing happened last year. On May 23rd 2006, a Zogby poll was released showing nearly half of Americans wanted a new 9/11 investigation. The very next day, Bin Laden popped up to reinforce the official version and threaten new attacks. Can lightening strike twice in the same place?

IT WOULD APPEAR HES A BIG FAN OF THE ZOGBY POLL !

Bin Ladin is in bed with BUSH in the oil industry Cheney needs a war so he can line his pockets from Halliburton Profits. If you dismiss this jsut cause you DONT WANNA believe it and refuse to look at the facts ...your a FOOL.

No one guy has out smarted another guy. Osama Bin Laden attacks American soil. What country did Bush attack? Iraq.Bin Laden -1 bush -0. Osama Bin laden has been spotted in Afghanistan. We send a couple of thousand to Afghanistan. Then we shoot the most famous soldier there in the back. Osama-2 bush-0. Bush has not made a secret of keeping his business partners happy. Haliburton gets government contract after government contract. Harriet Myers.Alberto(I forgot my green card at home)Gonzalez. The Bin Laden family was business partners with the bush family a long time. Osama-3 bush-0. Remember the commander in chief gives orders to Military and Intelligence Community. They are just following orders. But I bet a few of them have figure they should be in the mountains of Afghanistan looking for Bin Laden. Osama-4 bush-0. Lastly if bush went after Bin Laden it would be like me going after my friend that I have been around since we were kids. So to answer your question if our Military and Intelligence Community could name their mission I pretty sure most of the soldiers would be in Afghanistan not Iraq. In short yes Osama Bin Laden has outsmarted one guy. Just think people actually voted for this guy. Maybe next time we all vote we should vote on the smartest guy not the guy with the best slogans and the best money making machine(Karl Rove).

This is really nothing new... ever watched that show America's Most Wanted? That is the problem with any large organization (which is what both the US government and military basically are) they are slow to react and can never be fully utilized. That and they are basically having to search for the guy through what amounts to an area the size of the US (if he's even in the Middle East anymore).

Don't forget that incident early on where the military thought they had him cornered in the mountains near the Pakistan border. The militant Islamists asked for 24 hours and said they'd surrender. Apparently, some ninny thought terrorists were the honorable sort, and we gave them the time, and...guess what...the next morning they were gone. This happened despite all our satellites and infrared imaging capabilities and billions upon billions of dollars in other technological advancements, military training and strategic superiority. Maybe I'm the only one who remembers that incident. I sure hope not.

Did you actually look at the video? Why was his beard black? did you read what he said? Tell me that this is how an Arab talks, why does he give a damn about global warmimg. The whole structure of the language looks to me like it was written by a high school student.

Bin Laden is hanging out with Elvis, I think the whole thing was to deflect our attention from the fact that Norman Hsu was arrested in Colorado and it would not surprise me if he suddenly decides to visit Vince Foster.

He wasn't always a cave dweller, but has he outsmarted us? I can't believe that for a minute. I know Bin Laden is smart (it a sick way), but I know our intelligence has an agenda keeping him alive.

I agree with justgetitright.

The Bin Laden family has MANY ties and connections. Especially to the Bush family.
Haven't you seen Fahrenheit 911 yet? It explains it all.

The simple answer is yes...OBL and his cadre of Islamic Hillbillies have strategically won.

They have followed classic guerrilla war tactics--remain a force in being by avoiding direct conflict with your foe, meanwhile make your foe bankrupt themselves in men, coin and political capital.

Nope. He's not in a cave. And he's the spiritual leader and financial leader of Al Queda. He's not the operational leader. He's also given us valuable intel in his latest appearance that shows where he might be. As Paul Harvey is fond of saying: "Stand by for news!".
