It is my understanding our government has covered up the total deaths in Iraq. First not allowing reporters in to count only getting info from former military personnel brave enough to expose them. I just wonder how many American lives are not being counted.

Knowing this how can people continue to support Hitler and his murderous take over of Iraq.

Don't tell me terrorist or WMD both left the country in the year between the WTC and us invading.

I heard many of them went to Syria, but Syria will not let the U.S. in to help the Iraqis displaced by the war. There has to be millions of people who left Iraq.

My question is why celebrities and other high profile people feel Darfur is more important than Iraq? I served a year in Iraq and saw so many Iraqis brutally killing one another based on religion and tribal affiliation. Citizens had to flea homes and villages because violence is so bad in some areas. Is Iraq less important because it was the American invasion that fueled the violence there? Is the violence in Iraq not as important as Darfur?

It sounds crude to say "Bush" but he works in a vacuum he is the decision maker -his decision to attack Iraq has been a mistake-and has left the next President a huge debt and a much more dangerous world-will Bush make a drastic move to try to save his legacy?????

I'm a 18 year old male and I'll be turning 19 this November. I haven't signed up for the draft yet and I'm wondering what to do. One website I read said that I'm legally required to register no later then 29 days after I turn 18. Well, I'm way past that deadline.
What (if any) are the penalties for not registering?

Union? He didnt care about slaves in the least: I get sick of the crappy revised version of history we are taught in school.

August 1862 (in response to a letter from Horace Greeley, editor of the New York Tribune) – "Dear Sir . . . I have not meant to leave any one in doubt. . . . My paramount objective in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or destroy Slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves, I would do it; and if I could do it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that. What I do about Slavery and the colored race, I do because it helps to save this Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help save the Union. . . . I have here stated my purpose according to my view of official duty, and I intend no modification of my oft-expressed personal wish that all men, everywhere, could be free.
Yours, A. Lincoln."
