This all depends on your MOS and since you are now at AIT, I take it you are not in a combat MOS? The Army is notorious for discharging people for medical reasons, so be careful. Drill sergeants never want you to go to sick call and when you do they give you a hard time. Tell the Drills about your problem and that you need some ice and ibuprofen for your feet. They will appreciate that you are trying other solutions than sick call. Take some ibuprofen after you run and throughout the day; that will cut down on the swelling. You probably need a couple of days off to treat your foot, but then again I dont know how strict your drills are. Just don't quit! If its that bad, go to sick call. After a run tell the Drill you need to go the next morning. Dont be intimidated, look them straight in the eye and speak clearly and confidently. They can't say no, believe me!!!

Go on sick call.
DFon't let anybody BS you that they hassle ou for wanting to go, the sgts will hassle you, this is not the case.
Sick call us usually every morning, they give you a slip, you go to the dispensary and you receive the apperopriate care.
By the way, foot problems are more common than a cold in the Army.Go to sick call and get it taken care of.

Tell the Drill Sargent, have them send you to the hospital to have this looked at, or go a hospital on your own and them look at this.
