If you think pre-emptive war is a good idea, think about it again as if you and your family were peaceable citizens of the country that is about to be attacked, not as a citizen of the attacking country. Also, if the U.S. were not a world military power, would we be planning to pre-emptively attack other countries? If not, does that mean that we believe that Might Makes Right?

(Before you attack me as a liberal for this question, know that I am a retired family man, ex-military-Vietnam era, Republican, Conservative, business owner and tax-payer, so please keep your response to the question at hand).

SFC Everett "Zeke" Sutton, Combat Infantryman, airborne, My first reaction was, "we're f----d!" But as time went on, we learned, do what he expects and he leaves you alone. At graduiation, when he looked at us and smiled and said "well done, Echo 13-4, 1st platoon"' we felt we could kick the daylights out of Godzilla!

Our Navy has not only been infected with the disease we all know as political correctness but it has come under the influence of international lawyers who pay homage to the U.N. Asked why U.S. Navy officials were supporting UNCLOS, one Navy Commander, with an important position in the Department of the Navy, told me, “The political leaders don’t really understand the issue, and they all listen to the lawyers. And the lawyers are all liberal. It is absolutely the problem. The Navy JAGs and the OGC [Navy’s Office of General Counsel] are liberal. It is a tragedy.”

We should have had some inkling of the problem when, in 2001, a U.S. Navy EP-3 reconnaissance plane was brought down and the crew made hostages by the Chinese. The Chinese regime detained the crew for 11 days and the plane for more than three months. The crew was released after a U.S. statement that China interpreted as an apology.

I came up with a .30 cal machine gun, but instead of being belt fed, it has a wheel with 8 box clips, each with 40 rounds. You have to pull on the op rod to turn the wheel and click in a new clip and cock it. Do you think this would be practical? and it would probably jam a lot less than belt fed browning .30s right?
My other idea is kind of the same but instead of manually cocking it, the recycled gas from one round makes the wheel turn, and cocks a round from the next clip, and the wheel keeps spinning fast using one bullet at a time from each clip. But that would probably jam easy and cause aiming issues right?

It's worth noting, as well, that President Bush has committed significant resources to rebuilding our military after the draw-downs of the 1990s. In addition, this new era has also demanded far larger support for intelligence, law enforcement and homeland security. Our administration has met those urgent priorities. Yet we've also managed to bring this year's projected deficit down to 1.5% of GDP--well below its historical average over the past four decades.

In my daily report: "GN-50 CF 12, Tangos 3, 2 punts blocked, Iraqis blowout AQI 18-0" I give the highlights of Tuesday's action in Iraq.

While Tuesday was a bit slower than recent days, the US and Iraqi military continue to press the enemy.

While the media continues to concentrate on Blackwater, the good guys continue to fight an enemy that targets civilians.

Some will call it propaganda. I cannot help you. I can only report the facts of what is happening and ask you to demand that the media begin to cover it.
