can spend Billions monthly on "iraq" and bushy's cronies in collusion , spend such Billions on Soldiers' salaries and benefits , esp. enlisted

The military deserves more pay and benefits.

The answer to this question is, there is not enough money to pay what warriors are worth. A true warrior signs up not for the money but for the honor and sense of duty. A true warrior puts country first and expects his country will be there for him when he needs U.S. This country and several others owe all warriors a great debt that can only fully be paid with freedom for all. doubtful the officers have to be better paid they are the head of the army even if we (the enlisted) are the backbone. private companies have profits and all income coming in all the military has is a budget so chances are private will always be paid better.

I wouldn't say they serve higher than all necessarily, but I do agree they need more compensation. After 9/11, military pay was cut, it needs to be restored back to what it was.
