By 50 years I mean all those vets that are injured for the rest of their lives. And for what? Bush's ego and Iraq people that say it is okay to attack troops?

Let's hope so! I don't think America could survive a disaster bigger than bush!! It will take longer than 50 years to repair the enormous damage done to America, and her reputation, not to even begin to mention the country we've destroyed! Those children will be forever damaged, and there's a really good chance they will grow up wanting revenge on us, I can't say I'd blame them! 50 years passes a lot faster than you'd think!

The Iraq war is not bad compared to what could happen in the next 50 years. Picture nuclear attacks on multiple American cities... that's bad. Would make Iraq look like a Sunday evening stroll.

As far as injured vets, they signed up and knew the risks. They are very brave for confronting them, and they might pay a price for their bravery. America should thank them for their service. At the same time, these things happen in war. It's my opinion that attacking the fact that soldiers get injured and killed should be off limits. The argument is "What's the value in war if some people die or are injured". Well, what's the value in life if you're definitely going to die? The value exists, the opportunity just has to be seized.

Difficult to say my friend. As long as our leaders are persuaded by special interest groups and proliferating their own agendas disaster will always be looming on the horizon. There was another time in our history when the PEOPLE of the land had no say in the policy that was being pushed down their throats. They declared that the governing body in charge was unfit, thus establishing these great United States. REVOLUTION will be the cry of the next great disaster. Bringing back the draft is still sitting on the table and if the political SWINE that runs our country allows that to happen we will need to exercise our rights and march on Washington and abolish the tyrannical powers that be.

I can only pray and hope that we will not see anything that is more devastating than this damned war. Too many human beings have lost their lives so certain privelaged people can make money. Make no mistake about it people, this has been a for profit conflict from its inception. I'm sick of it.

I love my country, I fear the actions of our government.

THINK FOR YOURSELF, QUESTION AUTHORITY!!!

People never like to admit that they are wrong. It is just a fact of human nature. As for the double standard that you also bring up about republicans criticizing bush, while Democrats are called Anti-American or Unamerican for doing the same thing...that is another thing that people do not like to admit. So will they admit that the liberals were correct? Doubtful Why do they cast asperstion on the Democrats for doing the same? probably the same reason as when your big brother picks on you but as soon as a bully does it, your Brother pounds the bully.

50 years is a long time . I seriously doubt the Iraq war will be remember that long. There will be many more "disasters" in 50 years!

Don't forget all the people here in Answers who believe it is okay to attack our troops.

Don't try to predict the future. We could get another Jimmy Carter in the White House. Then we would really be s*****d.

The Clinton administration is what clearly gave us this problem while he chose not to do anything about it but the worst has to be Jimmy Carter and his administration. We have him to thank for giving the fundamental Islamists a good start in a country with solid oil revenues.

That was when this disaster started.

No the biggest disaster is if we retreat and let the terrorists win because they will not stop this war that they have with us.
