Since most evil and good Commanders want to capture their enemies and punish them.
I'm asking because of a strategy game I was just playing and also because I've heard it said in movies etc.

It seems like using Nukes as a demonstration on Tokyo Bay was an idea proposed by the Truman regime. Can Nukes be used to demonstrate US' prowess to Al-Qaeda?

What if Al-Qaeda had another attack at US. Will US use nukes then?

Why does the U.S. have civilian security contractors in Iraq? Because the rules of engagement are less strict for them than for the regular Army? Or are they CIA operatives working against the Iraqi infrastructure to widen the chasm between Sunni and Shia by perpetrating acts against one and making it seem as if the other did it?

My father who served Royal Indian Air Force in World War-II, is still alive, what was his legal status then and now? What kind of recognition he should get from the Quine or what kind of benefit we may expect from the United Kingdom for the service my father rendered to them? My father's service No. 42776. Many of his comrade at arms are no more in the world. Should he deserves any type of recognition and if so what, how and when? Whether he should be able to receive any kind of recognition or reward during his life time or should we demand some sort of benefit like getting UK visa for us or our children?

Insurgents seem to be better liked by the Iraqi government, since they do whatever they want and the Iraqi government does little to nothing to stop them. They are responsible for thousands of civilian and military deaths.

Blackwater is attacked by said insurgents, and since they defended themselves, the Iraqi government, the same government that , in all appearances, looks the other way when insurgents do bad things, wants to ban them from iraq / send them to jail.

Does anyone else see a grave injustice being done here?

I've often wondered this. You can't even get a cigar from Cuba into US legally, but it's OK for the govt to lease a block of land. Or have I got my geography and politics all wrong?

I've save quit enough during my 3 years in the navy and currently have no debt. No wife, kids or girlfriend for now so I'm wondering is it time to get out of the navy? If I get out, I can get a degree in 2 years max since i already have college credits. And I have marketable skills to find a part time job if I chose to get out and go to college. But if I do get out, I feel like I'll miss the friends, the traveling, the stable pay check, the parties, and the sense of doing something that matters. Shoul I stay, get out or retired at 42 meanig 17 years left?

I'm joining the USAF. As a hobby, I like to take pin-up photographs of friends, clients, and occasionally myself. Nothing graphic- they're a bit risque but tasteful (think 1940's style Betty Grable). Any ways, I don't post them online or in any publications (I'm not that dumb lol). As I already mentioned, I do sometimes take on clients, mostly friends of friends, who want pics for themselves or usually for a boyfriend/husband. It's not a second business - just freelance and fun. Any ways, I of course don't want to stop taking photographs after joining the USAF, and I was wondering that even if I'm not publishing them anywhere, will the military see this as "inappropriate" somehow and could I possibly get in any trouble?

Senior American intelligence and defence officials believe that President George W Bush and his inner circle are taking steps to place America on the path to war with Iran, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt.

Pentagon planners have developed a list of up to 2,000 bombing targets in Iran, amid growing fears among serving officers that diplomatic efforts to slow Iran's nuclear weapons programme are doomed to fail.

Pentagon and CIA officers say they believe that the White House has begun a carefully calibrated programme of escalation that could lead to a military showdown with Iran.

Now it has emerged that Condoleezza Rice, the secretary of state, who has been pushing for a diplomatic solution, is prepared to settle her differences with Vice-President Dick Cheney and sanction military action.
