Insurgents seem to be better liked by the Iraqi government, since they do whatever they want and the Iraqi government does little to nothing to stop them. They are responsible for thousands of civilian and military deaths.

Blackwater is attacked by said insurgents, and since they defended themselves, the Iraqi government, the same government that , in all appearances, looks the other way when insurgents do bad things, wants to ban them from iraq / send them to jail.

Does anyone else see a grave injustice being done here?

How can they not be sanctioned by the US when the US hired them? I wonder, how many of those "civilians" were actually civilians?

And just how is killing your own people over no other reason than they are shiite or sunni fighting to get their country back?

2 responses so far, both defending the insurgents....Let me illustrate something very clear to you. The insurgents do not care who they kill. I have served in Iraq twice, once as a medic, once as a nurse. As a nurse, the most common patients we recieved in the hospital were Iraqi children, who commited no other crime than they were in the wrong place when an insurgent blew himself up. If killing and injuring children and innocent people constitutes a good reason, then this world is sicker than I thought.

Blackwater has an excellent reputation for providing executive security for US workers and executives in Iraq and Afghanistan, they are ex-military personnel, well trained and well armed, and although some people call them mercenaries, they are not, what they are is a useful tool that is necessary to safeguard American interests in foreign countries. Their services allow the American soldiers to do the job they have been assigned to do, find the enemy insurgents and either capture them or eliminate them, where ever they are found. If Blackwater wasn't involved in providing the security for US Interests, then US soldiers would be deployed to provide this security.

People call the terrorists 'freedom fighters' when in reality they are nothing more than bandits that are using terror to get their way with the populations, they blow themselves up with explosives in areas filled with the civilian populations, not against hard targets like military installations, but yet they are called 'freedom fighters'! They also kidnap foreign workers and their own residents and using barbaric methods execute them, while taking videos, showing the methods they use which is beheading, and its a form of the most barbaric way, holding the victim and then sawing their head off with a knife, yet people call these people that commit these crimes, 'freedom fighters'!

I fully support our troops fighting the terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan and I also support security companies such as Blackwater and other companies that are sending professional soliders over there to provide the protection that is needed.

I would collect the insurgents heads and deposit them in a landfill, this ought to piss them off to no end! Better yet, a cess pool filled with human waste!

Where was the public opinion when the insurgents captured a few of these security personnel, dragged them through the streets, set them on fire while they are still alive and then club the bodies. Why wasn't there a public outcry about how these men died such terrible deaths?

The Iraqi government wants Blackwater out of Iraq because the new Iraqi government is filled with supporters of the insurgents, they see Blackwater as a direct threat .

Thank you,

Rebels have an purpose to over via a central authority and take over. Insurgents only prefer to poke at, and make a central authority seem stupid. they at the instant are not banded mutually in an entire reason. In simular perspective, image united states of america. With all its political events. for example you part with a undeniable party. Say like, the "green" party. they at the instant are not getting everywhere and are unlikely to win something, yet whilst all green party gets their device weapons out, that's what a insurrection is and what rebels are. Its not a political party the two, difficult describe. yet insurrection is particular to overthrowing a central authority. If the insurgents can over via that government the U. S. only helped prepare, greater potential to 'em. not gonna ensue. If

Blackwater, was doing more to establish and maintain an Iraqi state than the non state criminal combatants and anti coalition militia.

One is fighting to get their country back, the other is fighting for pure profit!

Blackwater is not an army. It is not sanctioned by the US, but they are murdering civilians! They don't belong in Iraq! They are mercenaries!

The insurgents have a very good reason for doing what they are doing! That's the big difference.
