There have been 1.2 million Iraqis killed in the occupation. There were at least 500,000 killed by sanctions (which of course, Bill Clinton is responsible for). There were others killed during the 2 times when they resisted an invading army.

When you add up all the Iraqis killed, it comes to about 2 million, which would make it the worst genocide since the Halocaust (which is ironic, since the Israel lobby has been one of the strongest supporters of this war).

Greetings. love it when the question is one that the followers of the bush fear and they attack. not logically. but simply attack. When will we stop the genocide in Iraq? when we stop tolerating traitors who use our supposed freedom as a weapon against us. When we stop electing or allowing to be put in office people who are actual traitors to our nation and our constitution. Don't you love it when so many come out and defend the Marine general who personally do not know him, but defend his honor as though they actually knew him or his record? trying to give the impression that anyone who is a officer must be God like and totally incapable of being evil or a tool for someone else. A officer is a human. humans are of a variety of different people. some good, some bad. some saintly, some evil. One cannot simply say someone is good simply because they were ordained a Officer and a Gentlemen by congress. nor could we call them evil for the same reason. We are all different. But to the fanatics that is not the case, which is why idiots think that killing civilians and violating the rules of warfare is protecting our freedom. note that they do not mention that our freedom is more in danger from our own politicians taking our constitutional rights away then we ever were by any Moslem believer. And I've spent my time in the U.S. Marines and would not go to Iraq or Iran since I still honor my oath that I took on enlisting so long ago. "To protect and defend the constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic." our main enemy in that line seems to be much closer then across the ocean in the deserts of the middle east. Wonder why they get so upset about our leader being called a dictator? does he not ignore all of our laws and simply make decisions on his own? of course he does. that is the mark of a dictator in my book. And for the information of the uninformed, to practice genocide it is not necessary to have concertration camps, even though we do have them in the building stage at present, it is simply necessary to either actually kill people in a certain group, such as a choosen religion or skin color or nationality. to personally kill them or to set the stage for them to get killed by others. as we have done in Iraq by destroying their infrastructure and their survival means such as water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, power generation plants, hospitals, schools, police forces and even security. all of which we have gleefully done. Then installing a puppet leader who encourages civil war against other sects of the Moslem belief. all are vehicles of genocide. Protecting our freedom? Get real people. open your eyes and look about you. Are you freer now then you were before bush stole the election in 2000? And has since taken away how many of our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms, like the right to privacy and habius corpus so we cannot be imprisoned without evidence of having committed a crime. Our right to peaceful assemby or our right to a speedy trial by our peers? Honestly I don't think so, do you?

You have little idea what the word "genocide" means. There is no genocide caused by US armed forces. Dont be so damn stupid.

If you are so bloody good, sign up tommorrow. You should be ashamed of yourself to even contemolate insulting a good, brave man, who is patriot, who loves his country enough to serce it loyally for over a third of a century. You have no clue at all. All those men, who come back in pine boxes form Iraq - youa re disrespecting their names and sacrifices and honour. I expect to read about you as newly signed up in less than two calnedar months, otherwise, we can all confirm that you are a spineless coward, who should keep their mouth shut.
And Bush is not a dictator. I do not agree with many of his policies, but seeing as you disagree with him so much, if he is a dictator, shouldn't you be locked up in a death camp right now. You are an idiot, and I genuinely do hope that you are soon struck by ebola, closely followed by the plague and then dysentry, just to round things off nicely.

I have never, in my whole experience of the internet, been so incensed by an internet posting. Congratulations, Coward.

Let me guess , you have never served your country. Why don't you ask our troops who lost their lives so you could be free!!!! Freedom doesn't come free, you have to fight for it and sometimes you even have to die for it. I'm sure the people of Iraq would love a taste of freedom. After the hell they have gone through with their last DICTATOR As far as your genocide, wars will always be fought, look throughout history ,and if you have the powers that be to see into the future, you will see that another war will arise long after this one is over.And by the way that is President Bush. My Commander in Chief!!!!

you're saying 'shortly after'. ask your self what it replaced into like until now the invasion began. besides that.... why might desire to we combat for yet another countries liberation? To my way of thinking, a rustic could be asked in the event that they choose liberation first & the easily invaders who're there to sell liberty might desire to choose to unlock that u . s .. If our own countries leaders have been trustworthy interior the naming of the invasion, it would have been "operation take down hussein". in fact interior the making plans, my expensive. you're able to desire to make the effort to flick via some previous newspaper's from 2001 - 2003.... This invasion replaced into unplanned..... while it replaced into time to abort the challenge, through fact "we had gained", we could no longer go away the mess that have been created. The mess replaced into created through fact the rustic have been left and not utilising a frontrunner. no person in charge of a comprehensive u . s .... Looting, Gang -Forming, mass ignore - i'm no longer asserting that Hussein did a great interest.... yet, a minimum of, the rustic replaced into policed. The U.S. could be a great-means.... yet we would desire to consistently no longer get that puzzled with great-hero. The Invasion lacked the plan: 'what to do for management after the present management is taken down'.

Genocide... I love how folks throw that word around without a clue as to it's meaning...

Websters - The systematic and planned extermination of an entire national, racial, political, or ethnic group.

UN (1948) / International Law - Article II: In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another

The GENOCIDE is being committed and perpetuated by the rival factions of Islam, aided and abetted by Syria, Iran, Al-Queda. The USA is trying to PREVENT it.

And on a personal level... You want to call a US Army General names... I'll take my DAV provided false leg and put it up your backside.

So do you think repeated applications of the same political spin doctoring and spew actually furthers your point?

If you're so "enlightened" why do you link such rancorous politicos as Lew Rockwell.

frankly speaking Gen Betraus has nothing to do with the strategical grave mistakes that occured in iraq. he wasn't part of those who took the stupid decision of war. he was called to save the big mr. dumb who endorsed ramsfield and cheny's scheme of the war.
well for those who don't know about the war out there, let me tell u that the iranian supported millitias are killing sunnies, sunnies blame to the us and in this way way iran keeps the vicious circle i iraq and keeping us busy from iran the ones with real nukes not the nuke fairy tale of saddam who proved nothing but smearing the us for decades.

What sick lab have you escaped from? You sound like the wacko's who see a conspiracy in every action,..even someone flushing a toilet.

Calling someone by a sick name is often a real give-away of an escapee.

Get a life!
