And they have a neighbor, Israel, that has illegally pursued a nuclear program. So they have as much right as anyone else.

Not at all this is an Israeli / American ploy to stifle the disarment deal with North Korea so they dont have to give them full diplomatic recognition and just a half baked excuse for Israel to flex its muscles. Remember we were told in 2002 Saddam was tring to build a nuke which turned out to be false,
Since 2003 we have been told Iran is trying to build a nuke with no evidence.
Now Syria is being welcomed into the accusations club! The smart money says Venezuela is next!

1. They have a small research reactor incapable to produce large amounts of plutonium.
2. They don't have so-called "nuclear infrastructure", i.e. heavy industry, hi-tech, and necessary level of educated personnel.

Yes, Israel recently took out North Korean supplied materials in that endeavor.

They do have a reactor but they are still far from weapon capability and even if they make one , they donot have a credible delivery system
