Actually, it used to be a joke when he was the commander of the 101s't. We would refer to him as that, expecially after he flew us from Bagdhad to Mosul when we THOUGHT we were going home.

General Betrayus is the mocking name for a man whos served his country for 25 years, through Democrat and Republican. The name was made up by cowards who don't have the cahones to do his job.
EDIT: there are limits to humour on sensitive subjects, that's why I stopped telling Princess Diana jokes.

Because this wasn't humor. It was a vicious attack by moveon.org, a well-financed left-wing organization that so clearly showed its bigotry and lack of class that even the Democrat Presidential candiates want to distance themselves from it, at least for the moment, even though they are happy to have get their financial support from that group.

Haven't heard of him before. I found this googling for the name though:
Senator Chuck Betrayus
The only Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to vote with the Democrat party to condemn the President's troop buildup. Betrayus was a big cheerleader and even had the nerve to "chew out" the patriots on the committee who refused to give aid and comfort to the enemy. Betrayus literally told the Republicans who opposed him they'd be better off as shoe salesmen.

There is no such person. There is a General Petraus who commands our brave fighting men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan. People who find this type of sophomoric humor funny, not only betray us, but our troops.

No such person. Is this an attempt at humor, or do you need to check your spelling?

No such person. It is the liberal left's (specifically moveon.org) play on the name of the man currently in charge in Iraq. It's also insulting to a person of his character & career.
