I would like to know why there is a relentless pursuit of Nazi war criminals across the globe (even when they are in their 90s) but I do not see any active pursuit for Japanese war criminals at all. Japanese live long so there will be thousands around in Japan enjoying their sunset years with no fear of prosecution. Is it because governments across the world are too afraid to offend the world's 2nd largest economy? They murdered my grandfather and granduncles so why are they different from the Nazis?

I'm planning to be either a medic or doctor in some branch of the military, but don't really understand all they do. Do you still have to go through boot camp, training, and other things as an officer would do?

Because of a spinal injury, i don't now if i could physically do that, but at the same time i really want to. So, if anyone could explain fully what the medical team does in the military, mainly the Marines; that would be great :)

I'm still in high school, if that helps. It'll be a while till i can join in the military.

My husband has been in the army reserves for five years now and he has just put in the paperwork for active duty army. He is allowed to pick what state and base he wants to serve on. He has been overseas once already. We now have a one year old daughter so my main concern is to hopefully find a base that is non infantry/ or combat. Basically if there is one out there that does not or rarely gets deployed. He was diagnosed with ptsd from the first time he was deployed and I really believe another tour would do him in. So, I was wondering, are there any bases like that, or any ways of avoiding future deployment? His mos is personnel. His rank is E5(sargent). We are planning on having another child in the near future so we both really want to find a way of him fulfilling his dream of being active duty but without the worry of deployment. I support our troops, God bless them! We just really hope to find a happy medium. Thank you for any and all answers!

I am straight outta college and finalizing my application to enter Army OCS. I have a board on Tuesday where I will be interviewed by three or four officers. What should I expect? I have a general idea, but I was just wondering if anybody else went through it.

What is the training like? How far do you have to run? What do you have to do? How many situps, pullups, pushups? What is it like in the first week? What can I expect?

FYI, I'm moderatley athletic, I run several miles every day and do some push ups and situps, and I can run 3 miles in 19:30-22min.

And how do I fit the 13 wk basic training in with college? That is what I'm really wondering.

Last month I joined the Navy with the rating of IT. I was told that because the position requires a top secret security clearance I may be given a polygraph test. I was completely truthful about everything except my past drug use. Up until a couple months ago I frequently smoked pot. I was never caught by the police, school, sent to rehab or any other situation which would show up on my record. I have also passed all drug tests given to me and will remain drug free for the remainder of my enlistment. The only reason I did not mention my old habit was because I was told by my recruiter not to. Are there any active or former sailors who could tell me what the likely hood is that I am actually given a polygraph? If I am, what type of questions will come up?

I Recently Joined the U.S. Air Force and since im currently a Resident I can't be an Officer untill 3 years from now when i become a Citizen.

I also Signed a 4 Year Contract with the AF.

here are my Options:

The Air Force also offers accelerated promotion for those who agree to enlist for six years Active Duty. Under this program, enlistees staart basic training as an Airman Basic (E-1), are promoted to Airman (E-2) upon graduation from basic, and are then advanced to Airman First Class (E-3) 20 weeks after graduation from basic training, or when they graduate technical (MOS) school , whichever occurs first.

So upgrade to the 6 year contract and be released in 3-4 years after i become a Citizen and join AFROTC or go to the AF Academy

but i dont know the difference between the 2, all i know is that the end result of going to the Academy or ROTC is the same thing at the end.

I do know that in the academy you cant have kids or be married, is this also got AFROTC?

So what exactly am I getting out of being a military spouse?

It's hard finding a job. I am pursuing a degree and will get that soon, but, I've traveled and followed my husband around. I just hope he realizes that he's going to have to take care of me because I've dropped everything to follow him around.

I would have been independent if it wasn't for being married.

Does he understand the sacrifices I've made and is he going to support me?

Any advice from soldiers would be great on how they view this.

I want to be a doctor for the navy eventually... I plan to try and get into a military medical school. But for the first 4 years to get my bachelors degree I'm not really sure what to do. I was thinking of just flat out joining the navy after I graduate highschool so I could get some financial help for getting through my pre-med stuff.

Or should I just go to a normal college and not join up until I have to go into the medical school...

any info or opinions would be great =D thanks.
