we went to make sure Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction - they didn't. check. we went to get rid of saddam. he's been tried and hung. check. we went to defeat the taliban. they no longer exist. check. WAR OVER. GAME OVER. we should take everyone out of Irag and put them in afghanistan and pakistan to search out Osama. Anyone acts up anywhere else, ever again - we go in full force with small nukes. PERIOD. we are done. You have a problem with it, then you are an american terrorist. By keeping our soldiers overseas it is terrifying to their families back home. Anyone who forces them to stay over seas and fight a war that people no longer understand are terrorists.

My guess is that it would either be Britain, Russia, China, or Israel. Feel free to pick one or ranks them in regards to
1) Equipment
2) Training
3) Experience

-number of nuclear weapons don't count!

Since this is a subjective question, I will put it to a vote.

dad has always told me that he thinks i would be great at military, because of my intelligence, athleticisim and leadership, and i think i would be too, and i would love to be in it. it is something i have always wanted to do. three things are holding me back, friends, family and girlfriend. my girlfriend and i have been together for around a year now, and while all 3 are behind evey decision of mine, it would still be hard to say goodbye. i dont think i would be able to off for 9 months for training, for rangers and jump school and everything, and then have a chance to be deployed. i dont know what do do, any advice?

Hi,
I'm a 17 years old girl, I'm meeting with my navy recruiter tomorrow 8.7.07 @ 1:00pm. I'm not sure what to expect..are there certain questions that I should ask? I'm interested in the medical field and beng a hospital corpsmen. Can anyone give me some information about being a navy hospital corpsmen or the medical field or personal experience? What should I expect when I meet with my recruiter and such etc...THANKS so much! I turn 18 in September. I have my dad's blessing, but my mom is having a hard time letting me go. I dropped out of high school, but I have a ged. I'm what people would call a girly girl I like getting my nails and hair done, makeup etc. but I was raised with 4 older brothers so I know how to get down and dirty and don't mind it at all. I am taking this very seriously and I hope that you are too.

WHy retire so young? I can see this rule being in place 60 years ago when 40 was considered OLD, but today 40 year old men who stay in shape can easily outperform younger soliders in the PT test. Seems to me the US Military is giving up YEARS AND YEARS of experience for the sake of an outdated rule.

thoughts?

Almost 2,100 Iraqis killed in July,2007
August is over 500 already.
US troops killed in July were 78-38 more than last July
Almost 5 million have have fled away from their homes and the number continues to increase and many leave to Syria a supposed US enemy.
70% do not have running water.
As reported in the NY times GOP candidates will stay in Iraq if elected.
Republicans have lost
Unfortunately Democrats are equally incompetent.
Does not say much for American government.
