what are they different ways you can adapte it? what are the pros and cons of each way.

There is an adaptor for this rifle which will let it fire blanks. it can be installed in seconds, and taken out just as easily.
This is the ONLY safe way.

Heres the deal. They make exact replicas of the real M1 Garand that only shoots blanks. The real Garands are worth a lot of money, thus you will be paying big money for them. I would suggest just getting a gun thats made to fire blanks. Its already set up for this, and you dont have to buy anything but the blank ammo to shoot out of it.
