I dont understand how a goverment our country will lose 190,000 AK-47s in iraq ....

Losing track of, is not the same as losing them.
What the pentagon cannot do, is tell you what iraqi unit has a specific weapon serial number.
IE:
They can not say what Iraqi Unit was issued AK-47 serial number XXX-XXXXX.
Not that all the weapons are missing.

There is a paper work SNAFU situation in Iraq nothing to do with the Pentagon.
I think they are talking about a missreport.

Okay you send 190,000 AKs to a Middle Eastern country....how do you expect them to stay in one spot? Have you not heard of IRAQI soldiers selling them on the black market? Of course people pick the easy answer that requires the least amount of thinking (those people would be the idiots that said "Bush"). Sorry if its so hard to believe that Iraqis and insurgents are ******* up Iraq, its so easy to blame your own government and us soldiers huh?

Well either the Pentagon sold them to someone, and got caught and is just trying to cover their tail. Or they are in Iraq in a connex somewhere. And somebody is either to lazy to look for them, or cant do paperwork correctly.

Right now there is nobody out there who could tell you where weapon # 1234 is in that country but if you think it is that easy to keep track of that many weapons, apply for a job. They know who they gave them to....dont listen to the media spin.
