At the time my husband was in the army, the age cutoff was 33 but I have heard that the age has been increased to 42 and I wanted to know if it is true. He is 34 and thinking of re-enlisting and I am curious about whether or not he is too old.

I've seen questions in tests on correspondence courses that says ideally a soldier should have at least one day off a week, if possible two. Is there a reg stating this somewhere?

I would like to start by saying thank you for your service, for our country.

I was wondering why you had originally signed up for the service. Were you immediately willing to risk your life for your country in battle, or at the time was it a financial opportunity for you more than anything else (the promise of the Army paying for your college education)?

I don't judge you badly in either instance... this is just a genuine question from an inquisitive mind.

I know someone whom I'd like to serve papers on, however, he is planning to go into the military. If I serve papers, this may prevent him entirely, from being able to go into the reserves. Does anyone know if Psychological testing is done in Basic Training? If there is, how sensitive is it? Basically, can a moron make it through. This man isn't too smart, but he passed his preliminary testing. Can anyone help me, please?

I would like to know the real historical reason why military people in uniform or veterans avoid having their hands in their pockets? What is "unprofessional" about your hands in the pockets? ...

Any historical reference/reason welcomed

I was discharged from the Navy about 6 years ago. Unfortunately I received a general discharge (under honorable conditions) with an RE-4 reentry code. The narrative reason for separation was misconduct with an HKQ code. After 6 yrs now, I have graduated from college and I am interested in going back to the service. I wanted to join the army national guard and go to officer candidate school. And so, I was wondering if I can do this even though I wasn't honorably discharge from the Navy. I live in San Antonio, TX and any answers would be greatly appreciated.

The Republicans said this week "The Iraq war may go on for another 15 to 25 years". By that time we will have over 25,000 dead troops and then we will assess the war and if need be go another 15 to 25 years. I ask all here....are the Republicans on the right track?

Anyone who has had an OCONUS military move that knows about the financial allotments? I read somewhere about one that allots for a house hunting trip in your new location. The depth of an OCONUS move is so deep that I feel overwhelmed with all the information. Just having a hard time weeding through everything. It would be really nice if I could take a trip there first to try to find off post housing. Thanks in advance for any help.

Gone are the days of doing what is right BECAUSE it is right and damn the consequence's. Today, elected officals are more concerned with their political self life and how they can spin events to benefit themselves.

Please settle an argument. My bf, who has experience in these matters, says that no one wants one. Fair enough, that's not the argument though. He says the soldiers that get one are stupid. They weren't doing what they were suppossed to otherwise they wouldn't have been injured. They have failed the mission. They did something wrong. They're idiots. I find that preposterous.
Thoughts?

Ok, so I know a couple people asked this already, but I figured I'd ask again since it's situation specific.

Can I get my military id renewed if:
-my dad is retired army
-I'm a 21 year old college student
-I'm still listed as a dependent
-my old id has been expired for 2 years

If I can get it renewed still, is there a website or anything where I can check locations/times to get it renewed and get a number to make an appointment?

Most people trust in Chaplains,so when the kin of the suspects seek information ,Chaplains can play an important role posing as "the good-ones".The kin of the Terrorists know about the contacts of the Terrorists , they can give information that we cant obtain even under torture.
This great Chaplain was very useful for us during the Argentine military Goverment 1976-1982, sadly he is now on trial accused for "crimes against humanity" ,can you believe it !! ?

ok, u know when u enlist in the army for 4 years and you serve the 4 years well ur obligation to your country is the 8 years right. and i guess u can get called to active duty in time of need. well, how do they select the soldiers they are calling back? my fiance already did his 4 years and so he could still get called if they need him. the thing is that his friend that was in his old unit just got called back and he's been out for a couple years already. do they just do like a random selection, or do they call back by former unit or what? does anyone know?

I was trained by USA in The School of The Americas, where I learnt how to detect Terrorists in the common day life, that´s how I detected this Terrorist , Raymundo Gleyzer. He was an Argentine Filmaker,( BTW Jewish )and now he is part of "The missings", but I know he is dead because he is one of the hundreds I killed. Terrorist propaganda films lead him to death. There are many terrorists hidden among you my beloved Americans, many teachers are terrorists, and they poison the minds of our childs, Unionists are Terrorists also, that´s the first thing we learnt in The School of The Americas.
Web site of Raymundo Gleyzer:
