As of 10AM Eastern time on August 7th, there have 12,267 wounded or injured who have not returned to duty within 72 hours. I don't how many of those were medically evacuated all the way to the continental U.S. 426 of those were injured or wounded in the initial combat phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The total wounded and injured who were returned to duty with their units in Iraq was 15,012
