Absolutely !! Article 117 of the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) provided below.
Now some here suggest that profanity is rampant in the military... it exists, and I WAS proud as hell when, as a Lieutenant Commander, I heard a Boatswain's Mate 3rd say "Jeez, the OOD can swear like a REAL sailor" while I was chewing the backside off one of my division who'd arrived drunk on the quarterdeck in port when I had the Duty.
There are times and places for profanity... though in the politically correct world of today they are disappearing. It is ACTUALLY a freakin ART in the hands of someone who doesn't use it as a part of their everyday vocabulary.
917. ART. 117. PROVOKING SPEECHES OR GESTURES
Any person subject to this chapter who uses provoking or reproachful words or gestures towards any other person subject to this chapter shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
If Article 117 doesn't cover the incident, use Article 134.
934. ART. 134. GENERAL ARTICLE
Though not specifically mentioned in this chapter, all disorders and neglects to the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces, all conduct of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces, and crimes and offenses not capital, of which persons subject to this chapter may be guilty, shall be taken cognizance of by a general, special or summary court-martial, according to the nature and degree of the offense, and shall be punished at the discretion of that court.

yes and no.
There is one on the books.
It is not really enforced because a large portion of the military use curse words like common verbs.
It is included with sexual harrasment, ie: if someone curses and the words offend you you can report the individual. I have never personally seen anyone seriously punished for cursing. Only guy I saw get punished got extra duty for 1 hour by his Division Officer. He did 5 minutes of it then was told to leave.

There is no direct rule, or article, that says you cannot cuss. The person above, gave a very general article, and can be interpreted very loosly. They have never made a rule, that directly affects cussing in the military.
It is common sense, however, to not do it around women. For sexual harrasment like issues. It is also common sense not to do so, around leadership, unless said leadership uses it.
They, no matter what anyone says, have NOT made any direct rule regarding cussing. Only general ones, which can be interpreted to include cussing.
