Gone are the days of doing what is right BECAUSE it is right and damn the consequence's. Today, elected officals are more concerned with their political self life and how they can spin events to benefit themselves.

Are these politicians any better or worse then ordinary citizens are in their jobs ??

How many of us in our jobs will put our jobs on the line and "DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND DAMN THE CONSEQUENCES " ??

Most of us being human are very concerned / consumed with SELF and often to the exclusion of all others.

Most of us in order to keep our jobs and to progress in them ,ingratiate ourselves to our bosses (in this case we The People ARE the politician's bosses) and SPIN many situations and issues TO BENEFIT OURSELVES !!!!! It is no wonder these politicians attempt to ingratiate themselves in the eyes of us,their bosses.

If vYou are a boss and are honest with yourself, you like a cat with milk, lap up those ingratiations even if in fact they are not true.

The bottom line is ,YOU are demanding from politicians that which YOU yourself are not demanding of yourself.

The word for this is either HYPOCRICY or DOUBLE STANDARD or BOTH .

We must fight on in Iraq to salvage what is left of our President Bush's legacy. No price is too great for this noble cause.

completely agree.

today's politicians are far too worried about what fox news will say rather than what voting americans will say.

i think it's because we have exceptionally weak people pretending to be our leaders.

Here Here..... That is so true.

We have very few, if any, leaders in Washington anymore. Everyone there is just worried about covering their butt and getting what they can for thenselves.
