As I understand it, few RN personnel suffered from "Gulf War Syndrome".
Were you actually medically discharged? As in you went to a MBOS (Medical Board of Survey) and were discharged from the Navy as a result?
If so then you should be entitled to a small medical pension, assuming you served the minimum service (which I think, but I am probably wrong, is 12 months on the trained strength). The amount that is paid depends, as I understand it, on whether the condition that led to your discharge being either attributable or non-attributable to the Service.
As an example a friend of mine was medically discharged after 7 years service (he retired as a Lt.) and was granted a pension of about £3000 a year.
If you are unsure what to do, I would recommend contacting the SSAFA as others have suggested. The White Ensign Association may also be able to help.

if you have been medically discharged then yes you are entitled to a war pension even if you didn't go to war, regardless of rank/rate or time served. speak to the british legion they're fantastic & could help you out a great deal. Also the establishment or ship should of sorted out your discharge with all the relevent paper work & any resettlement you could be entitled too aswell. i'ddefinately get some advise from the legion. good luck with it
