Since things are turning around for the better in Iraq, what do the Democrats have to say for themselves and their hopes of us pulling out so soon and losing the war???

Your account was correctly deactivated as you violated the Yahoo! Answers Terms of Service. For legal reasons, we cannot disclose to you the details of your violation or deactivation. Thank you for your understanding. **** I ask all here....."For Legal Reasons?" (Why do they say Legal Reasons?) Then they say "We cannot disclose to you the details of your violation?"
I ask this...How can they get rid of your account and then say they can't tell you why. What is going on here?

Tell me what its like. Work hours? Housing on base? Do you get certain times when you can take leave and visit family? When are you normally allowed to do that?

Thanks. I am trying to decide whether to sign up and go active duty or go reserves and finish college off.

According to this article Bush has signed into law the power to deploy troops anywhere in the U.S to oppose public disaray:
http://towardfreedom.com/home/content/view/911/

In a stealth maneuver, President Bush has signed into law a provision which, according to Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont), will actually encourage the President to declare federal martial law (1). It does so by revising the Insurrection Act, a set of laws that limits the President's ability to deploy troops within the United States. The Insurrection Act (10 U.S.C.331 -335) has historically, along with the Posse Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C.1385), helped to enforce strict prohibitions on military involvement in domestic law enforcement. With one cloaked swipe of his pen, Bush is seeking to undo those prohibitions.

My question is this.....what would the role of federal troops be deployed within the U.S Borders?

Why exactly do people live in a country, and enjoy its benefits and freedoms... and then when the country needs them to fight they decide to pick up and move to another country. I personally beleive that is bullshit... If your not willing to fight for the country then fu cking leave... dont sit here and enjoy the freedom of the United States, and all the awesome factors of this great country if your not willing to serve it if it needs you too...

what are your thoughts....

I enlisted into the US Army as an 11x(Infantry recruit) because I love this country and am willing to fight for it. Im not saying by any means that everyone should volunteer for the military... im just saying i think if a draft comes eventually if you get called up on it that you should fight and not back out....

I have looked some online, and I haven't found very much information. I am currently an associate's prepared RN and looking for an exciting change in my life. I would love to be a Navy RN, but from my understanding, I cannot because I only have an associate's degree. Also, if I do decide to go through with this, what kind of credit do I get for already being a Registered Nurse?
Thanks to all who answer.

Iraq: US military announces 4 more soldier deaths

The Associated Press
Published: August 5, 2007

BAGHDAD: Four U.S. soldiers were killed in separate attacks in and around Baghdad, the military said Sunday.

Two soldiers died of wounds suffered during fighting on Sunday in the capital, the American military said in a statement.

A soldier also died and two were wounded Saturday during combat operations in western Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement.

Another died of wounds suffered when a roadside bomb detonated near a U.S. vehicle the same day, during combat near Baghdad. It looks as if this will end up being another Vietnam.

The Shi’ites and the Kurds have oil. The Sunnis want oil. Their war is mostly about oil.

Bush’s war is futile and unnecessary. He is risking the lives of our troops in a foreign oil war only to blame his disaster on the next President. The House of Representatives can and must stop funding Bush’s war with a simple majority of “Nay” votes. No war can be funded without assent of the House. The Senate is not relevant.

Our Representatives wrongly fear that a cutoff would harm the troops. They should read the Constitution. The Separation of Powers gives Congress sole responsibility for declaring and financing wars and gives the Commander-in-Chief sole responsibility for those under his command. If the House stops funding the war, the President must either remove our troops from harm’s way or else be solely responsible for harm done to them. The House could then impeach both Bush and Cheney. The Senate may then convict them.

She moved her whole family & pets in on my son & her daughter (who is serving active duty in the Navy) My son recently filed for divorce & was thrown out of his own home. This Navy housing is for married couples & kids only, no pets or extra people. Is this whole situation legal? What can he (or I) do?
