Because if they tell you, that might open them up to a lawsuit if the answer they give is not pre-screened by their legal department for legal accuracy.
And they can get rid of anyone's account with or without any reason because they are a private service. Since you are not paying for the service, you have no legal harm resulting from their termination.
NOTE -- I don't agree with they did. I'm just explaining how the law works.

Maybe because you DID violate the term's of service? When you sign up, there is a box called terms of service. You check it yes or no..if you check no, you don't get to activate your account. If you check yes, regardless if you actually read the terms or not, you are in effect agreeing to them. Like it or not, that is the way things are. Read the terms next time, and you won't have to ask why. Small print....

Yahoo does not believe in Freedom of speech and they should be in China or Iran.If you said anything wrong or insulting they could at least tell you what you said but the Yuppie Nerds who work at Yahoo have no common sense, they 're scared to death of losing their Jobs, which is why Yahoo is not doing well and continues to Lose money. They have no Guts and No Brains and real soon they will go out of Business, which would leave their former employees homeless and hungry.

The purpose of this board is to lure Conservatives into discussion. Then they arbitrarily suspend your account and your whole life (e-mail accounts, phone book, etc.) and say they don't have to tell you why. Some of these retarded children have way too much power and not the sense of a piss ant. I hope a class action can be put together and some of these children get the spanking they deserve. Its a crime to give a child a loaded gun, why do we let them have power over real peoples lives?

you ask some off the wall questions bro, they can do it because you will never have the money to successfully destroy their legal team, go ahead, try it, they will destroy you by sending a law clerk who will make more money on the drive to file his paper work than we both did last year.
