Probably Audie Murphy.
He was the most decorated soldier of WWII. Earned 33 medals for bravery, including the Congressoinal Medal of Honor. In addition to receiving every citation for bravery available to US soldiers, some of them twice, he also received 5 medals from Belgium and France.
He is buried at Arlington.
