Yes, it will..and its a good idea to take it to your local courthouse and have them register it for you..that way can go back at any point in the future and have a certified true copy made. Its just a piece of paper and papers got lost, damaged, whatever.

Your last DD214 will have your discharge date and if you do not have that particular DD you can get one by calling the VA and inquiring about how to get a copy of your military records.

Every copy has your discharge date. The difference in the copies is whether the discharge code and reenlistment code are included.

It's on every copy. Please don't take it to the courthouse and register it. That will make it a public document and your social security number is on it.
