No, Northern Iraq (roughly Kirkuk up) is a landlocked autonomous region known as Kurdistan. With hostile neighbors to the North.
It would be suicide for both Kurdistan and Iraq.

Kurdistan, if you remember from the Gulf War was the portion in Northern Iraq that had massive amounts of chemical weapond dropped on innocent civilians. No matter what you believe about Iraq, Kurdistan residents at the very least benefited from the war.

They support the US and provide Iraq as a whole with massive amounts of cooperation, taxes, and educated people. Unlike North Korea, we have control of all Iraq. It'd be foolish to section it out.

...and We are not there for OIL!!!!!

Where does this malarkey about the U.S. and Iraqi oil come from? Before the Iran-Iraq War, Iraqi oil accounted for four percent of our total imports. The embargo in the wake of the UN Peace Enforcement Mission of 1991 to expel Iraqi troops from Kuwait was respected by the U.S. We did not import any Iraqi oil. As of today, 85% of Iraqi oil is under contract to Compagnie Petrol De Francais (a French oil firm). The other 15% is going to Asian nations.

No, Korea is peninsula. South Korea only border North Korea up north.

Iraq borders like whole bunch of wackos. Iran, Syria, Jordan(not so wacko) and others. Last thing they want is one more sovereign entity in middle of that crazy world.

No.

And only an idiot would think that we are there in order to steal the oil by now.

Try looking at a map.
