If YOU, not your mom, but if YOU are interested in the military, then YOU have a year to shed the weight and get into shape. With good eating habits and proper nutrition, along with a good exercise routine it won't take long to get down to size.

Keep your grades up. Learning doesn't stop just because you walk across the stage to get that diploma. Every branch and every job category has classroom time. Good study habits will take you far.

No matter which branch you join, IF you decide to join, GOOD LUCK!

umm the reason you burned so many calories is because you are so over weight. It's easier to burn more when you have a lot to lose.

IF you are serious about this.. then starting NOW continue to exercise at least 5 times a week, AND start eating healthy. NO sodas or sugary juices. Crystal Light and water. Lean cuts of beef and chicken, lots of fish. Heavy on veggies, light on starches and carbs.. and make them whole grain breads and sweet potatoes instead of white ones. Brown rice instead of white. limit sweets to like twice a week.

and of course, the obvious.. no drinking and no smoking and DEFINITELY no illegal drugs.

Yes, that is too big. I believe the weight standard is 180 for someone of your height, with a maximum of 30% body fat (we get more as a "boob allowance".)

How do *you* feel about it? If you really work hard, you can take off the weight and join. If you're comfortable with who and what you are, find something else to do after graduation.

You can drop the weight, you'd probably drop it when you get in the service, they need people so bad that they may just take you, but just keep up the good work and drop the weight.

calorie burning ability seems like a bad reason to join the army.

No, I was in the Army. There are more than a few heavily obese people in the Army, who pass through basic training. All you have to do is pass the PT, physical training, tests. And then the final PT test to graduate. They want to scare you to get into shape, but they pass overweight people and do not single them out to embarass them if you follow all the Army rules. Especially if you go into the Navy or Air Force, it should be a breeze.

if you're also an idiot, have a low IQ, and support Bush's idiocy, then yea, you can be in the military, go for it, be proud
