hi I have read here that Abrams MBT and Leopard 2 should be able to fire ATGM.. that's crap, ain't it? I know that abrams does have the new gun for subcaliber "shotgun" ammo for urban warfare /x108 or so/, and that leopard is being upgraded to this stuff, too. but I am quite sure that neither of them is capable of carying ATGM inside. I actually saw someone talking about hellfire ATGM. if at all I would believe TOW because it is standard equipment of bradley and as such should be relatively easy to mount atop of other armoured vehicles.
notalk of russian tanks, this time. of those kornet/metis/cobra family

I found a picture of a P3-Orion with some... rather interesting items under its wings.

During the Cold War I believe the P3 was a Sub hunter. I know today it is also used as a forest fighter (water carrier)

but the story of this pic is a fight against Saddam and it is armed to the teeth. If you want to help me more then description i can send ya a pic by email or messenger.

It appears to have 7 hard points under the wings and fuselage.

On the outer wings there are at least 3 weapons (cant see the farthest hard point

two of the hard points carry long white missiles (similar to the Phoenix missile but not fat like it) I think these might be Sparrows or Anti-radar missiles)

beside one of them (cant see the other) is a short blue missile (kind of reminds me of the P3 Torpedo) with a set of white colored fins on the ends.

Under the fuselage are two more white missiles (same look) and 2 more blue missiles (same look.

oh and the blue ones have a kind of grey-black

Short of a Pearl Harbor or 911, what action would it take for you, personally, to demand we deal with Iran militarily.

Just curious, really, I am.

The Atomic Bomb used on Japan in WW2? Allied bombs used in such campaigns as Dresden in WW2? Or something more unremarkable such as the Kalashnikov AK47, which has been in use for decades in probably every conflict since it was invented, or machine guns used in the trenches in WW1?

Did you tell her what a traitor she is? I certainly did. I think the vets from the Vietnam War, and even the Iraq/Afghanistan War needed to be represented, and I made sure that they were.

I don't get this title? If they are Americans you might call them 'traitors'. In a war why are they called 'terrorists' if they are attacking soldiers? If they were 'terrorists' wouldn't they want to go to some other place and attack American civilians? They are definitely 'enemies' of America but 'terrorists' sounds a bit off. these guys could easily have targeted larger groups of Americans and succeeded in their attack. Why attack a military base? And where are these guys now?

I think using the term 'terrorists' give the US gov't the right to take away all their rights by zipping them off to Guantanamo.

I have deceided that I wan't to join the Marines when I turn 18. I refuse to spend the rest of my life being a drunk and staying in this town for the rest of my life like everyone else in my family. I am about to turn 17 so that will give me a year to prepare for when I enlist. How should I prepare?

I am against this costly and unnecessary war but am supportive of the troops. My husband just deployed to Iraq. This is a war of choice and the president gives me the impression that he does not like to cooperate and that is why we are practically going at this war alone.

Terrorism is a hard thing to fight. There are terrorist camps all over the world and even in our own backyard. They are blending in with society and could be your next door neighbor. This is why I don't agree that you can fight terrorism by conquering two nations. Perhaps he was trying to send a message to Al-Qaieda, but you can't scare those who have nothing to lose. After 9/11, I wish the president would've just gave a speech about terrorism to increase awareness, gain international support, and fight the war on a smaller scale by increasing homeland security. Thousands of U.S. soldiers have been killed and now I ask what for?

I'm considering joining the military, but I don't know what branch/part (ARMY, ARMYgaurd, Marines, AirForce, Air National Gaurd ect...) I think that I want to do ANG the most, but I'm not really sure what the pros and cons, facts and deatails about any, I have done some research, and spoke with some recruiters, but they seem to only tell you about their branch. Maybe someone can tell me how they compare...rather than one persons opinion on one particular section.

It blows me away that now Washington is even trying to limit how much money our troops are going to have on supplies..... I wish we could just get rid of all those idiot OLD politicians, that only have their own interests at heart and get some level headed people in there to run the country. NO to troop withdrawls, and NO to timelimits... we started this we need to finish this. USN Vet

This is the transcript of the radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October 1995.

Canadians: Please divert your course 15 degrees the South to avoid a collision.

Americans: Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees North to avoid a collision.

Canadians: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.

Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.

Canadians: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.

Americans: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS LINCOLN, THE SECOND LARGEST SHIP IN THE UNITED STATES' ATLANTIC FLEET. WE ARE ACCOMPANIED BY THREE DESTROYERS, THREE CRUISERS AND NUMEROUS SUPPORT VESSELS. I DEMAND THAT YOU CHANGE YOUR COURSE 15 DEGREES NORTH, I SAY AGAIN, THAT'S ONE FIVE DEGREES NORTH, OR COUNTER-MEASURES WILL BE UNDERTAKEN TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THIS SHIP!!!

Canadians: This is a lighthouse. Your call.

I know peole say they should stop fighting now and just come home, but really, what will happen if we leave iraq too soon? If we fail to establish a new government for them and to help them with secruity problems, what did we gain? I say we keep the troops in Iraq until they can function on their own and become strong, and to not withdraw until that happens. Still, what should we do?
