Sure people have drowned, but when I was there they had Instructors in the water when you took your swim test and if you do not know how to swim they will teach you.

Yes, it has happened in the past, but it is a very rare occurence.

There are Navy Seals (who, by the way, know how to swim REALLY well) who play lifeguard during the water aerobics part of the training, which only lasts for one day.

You will have to jump off a 30 foot high tower, tread water for 15 minutes, and swim for 100 yards to qualify as a 3rd class swimmer.

You will either learn how to swim or go through boot camp again. Yes people have drowned in boot camp. If you refuse to learn how to swim you may get an unable to adjust to military life, added to your discharge.

I really don't think you have anything to worry about. With your terrible use of grammar you probably wouldn't get in anyway.
The water is 10 to 15 feet deep (not high, high is used to describe depth of flood water or the height of a dam). Yes people do drown in water. Generally the instructors will help you to keep you from drowning it looks bad on their annual performance reviews.

Don't worry about what you need to know, you already know enough to get in or your application would have been denied. Worry about what to take! Take nothing more than what will fit into a small backpack. You'll have to carry everything you brought and everything they issue you, and it has to be off the ground. Plus, they take it all away from you until training is over anyway.

u can drown in an inch of water. it's about 15' where the jump platform is. there are instructors in the pool and standing around the pool with long poles for you to grab hold to if you began to panic. they will ask if you can swim the first day you go to the pool. if you can't the will sent u to the "kiddy pool", 3' deep pool to get swim lesson

People can drown in an inch of water. There will always be the occasional mishap.
